As the Corporate Financial Co-ordinator within the Corporate Accounting and Reporting office of the Finance Branch, you will lead the year-end reporting functions within the City as well as the operating fund corporate accounting, and guide the development of related policy, procedures, and strategies. This includes:

· Coordinating the completion of the annual consolidated financial statements, the Provincial municipal information return, and other financial reporting for audit.: I- Q, G$ {* F. q, ~
' w- S5 k5 D8 Q" _· Providing advice within the organization and to related Boards and Authorities on options for resolution of financial and reporting issues.

· Research and coordination for implementation of new professional accounting and reporting requirements for municipalities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:7 w, [- ^% v: I1 E$ N7 L9 {" G

· University Degree majoring in accounting or finance, and a Professional Accounting Designation.

· A minimum of eight (8) years of progressive experience in the financial accounting and reporting field.

0 R3 f( |2 y, S! a, L6 R# V( D· Experience with complex computerized financial systems. Familiarity with SAP would be advantageous.
