ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
* w; X0 T0 q5 a, Mrecombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
technology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
8 O, A- u% Q/ a3 Bstrong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

$ k4 b- U4 |5 ^6 y8 B; ]Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
obtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
related field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
0 [% i; n2 z- `9 h; f, ?) Gfrom bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
! @1 f  v& v. f1 c+ uover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
9 h! k; _4 D9 |( K; zis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
the ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
) i: w: R9 F7 t) I. v8 R/ daccurate and complete research records.

This position is conditional to a successful application of external
funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
