strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness/ W2 p' M x- w5 n

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
. z) Z7 A2 k* j2 b' ]1 \# Pobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
' z8 e' O; U1 R# A# y/ Drelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification/ A2 |# ]3 Z7 a, Y
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
" R) C& e; S0 H* a- srequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA! g, ~! f: r& w/ f" `
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein" o' X. p: N! D7 k. \7 W1 e& X
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
4 U1 l& x& n5 G8 Tis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
/ ^( h7 K# S3 q/ k* Ythe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping6 c- y6 t1 A, D( n
accurate and complete research records. , h m9 ^! k% w1 b' Z& }$ @5 i5 k

funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
7 f; [" u+ Q# E* G7 h2 }salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on+ t. N4 n- K3 ^4 A& E
