ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our

strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness

) S. A+ ~/ H- u( g# oQualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
0 A$ H* Z: v1 K. ^( L# eobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
% r/ n3 G' t6 W( jrelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
" V5 L( a& s% v2 ]) `from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
& u; g  k# P7 f! _5 o  jover-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
  p) S5 H) v% a( k# Y% T8 u) j# _is a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
( {$ w6 L6 q* A+ l. q1 dthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
