Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
2 A; E; \& |) X+ mobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
7 ?. j4 F+ t4 `0 B2 I3 d, crelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
) S% P3 `# X3 C/ T9 ~from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
$ l, q6 @& }0 e( r* v. A$ }required. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
) `7 ]7 W$ s* C: }4 @4 X' Ucloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein0 Q$ z* a9 L. A3 b/ I
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
% u8 p- y) E9 U# [, j" @" J! Eis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
! j+ n* v+ j. v6 fthe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping5 L2 u# P+ s0 ], h3 H4 w& A

funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
$ M7 ^2 v* y: Vsalary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
