ATGCell Inc., a spin-off biotech company (http://www.atgcell.com) of the
University of Alberta, is focusing on the production and service of
recombinant proteins and stable cell lines. To further develop our
% n2 p' @* O4 q# b1 b6 otechnology, we are currently seeking a highly-motivated researcher with
strong track record in molecular and/or cellular biology and willingness
to apply for government funding with us.

Qualified candidates should have a PhD or MS degree within 5 years or will
. z) Z7 A2 k* j2 b' ]1 \# Pobtain one within 2-3 months, in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or a
' z8 e' O; U1 R# A# y/ Drelated field. Extensive experience in protein expression and purification
from bacterial or eukaryotic sources, and/or in mammalian cell culture, is
" R) C& e; S0 H* a- srequired. Familiarity with recombinant DNA techniques, including PCR, DNA
cloning and mutagenesis is also required. Prior experience in protein
over-expression in insect cells/yeast, or large-scale protein purification
4 U1 l& x& n5 G8 Tis a good plus. The position requires excellent organizational skills with
/ ^( h7 K# S3 q/ k* Ythe ability to work independently and multi-tasked along with keeping
accurate and complete research records.

funding, such as the Alberta Ingenuity Fund R&D Associate. Anticipated
7 f; [" u+ Q# E* G7 h2 }salary for the successful candidate will be 55-60K/yr depending on
