再来要介绍一些球员位置的名称，首先介绍四分卫 (quarterback)。四分卫算是整个球队的主帅，在场上的指挥调度全都得听 quarterback 的。通常在每次攻击时球一定是先传到 quarterback 手上，之後他会迅速後退，再决定是要自己传球 (pass)，还是把球再交给其它球员跑阵 (rush)，还是要自己偷袭 (quarterback sneak)。所以四分卫一定要头脑灵活而且在场上时要眼观四面耳听八方，但更重要的是他必须有很强壮的手臂，这样子传球才能传得远，但除此之外还要很准确，这样子才不会把球传到对方手 。像今年的足球赛，我就听老美批评别队的四分卫，"He has strong arms, but he is not very accurate under pressure."
