, t2 H( C5 @! a8 wThis is a clinic conducted by Badminton Alberta to train people as badminton officials. People who play badminton at a recreational, club, or higher level are ideal candidates for) I; `+ F* _& ?4 c1 N3 o* z
becoming badminton officials. The clinic consists of two parts. The first part consists of classroom training. This is followed by on-court practice during which trainees will have a chance to put their classroom learning to on-court practice. Trainees will also observe how certified badminton officials officiate matches and learn from them.

Trainees who completed the theory and on-court practice at the training clinic can decide when they are ready to attempt a closed book exam conducted by the Badminton Officials( |; l1 `1 ?7 ?- k$ s y
of Alberta Association. Upon passing the exam, the trainee is eligible to be certified as a badminton official at the regional level and will be given opportunities to work with different
! D$ X( U' T) y% ]certified badminton officials to practice their officiating skills over a period of time at different badminton events.$ d" A" D8 R, p! }: ?
: O$ b1 B& R& h" M5 GCertified regional badminton officials can move on to become certified officials at the provincial, national, and international level. |
