Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

(Full time: 35 hours per week)
5 D6 X( z4 n3 o8 v4 U6 z5 jJob Description
-        answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
-        assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
-        reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:
-        post secondary diploma
-        customer service and office clerical experiences

Position title: Community Development Worker
(Full time: 35 hours per week)
Job Description
-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
  L% G& S* P$ |- `2 @& P-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
" J! ~) \: s. ?5 T2 J/ |$ c+ _* _-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
0 h4 y( R7 Q- h-        update ASSIST website
+ B8 h7 G8 t2 Y. K* V* E-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
-        assist in writing proposal for ISP
# t( }' A# I2 P7 g- o6 X9 b-        write quarterly and final reports for ISP
6 g2 [# ^  |) y& n-        hold regular meetings with ISP team
-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

1 h$ p+ E/ O/ I. N$ wQualifications
-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
1 }; O( y% E5 I( m3 l7 H" t-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
