Job Description

; C5 h3 d. a8 ^* q) v+ N5 Z- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker" y9 ?) G" U. ]0 N9 ]. ~4 p2 m
- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:$ A5 s) U N6 R/ Z
- post secondary diploma

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community9 ~' s: j7 i; M, F' I D+ J
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services5 N* G- T$ A$ L& P4 q
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services+ J" L4 H }# a A5 G0 G
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies6 M8 T% @$ j: a/ W, a% Z% |& q" V
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
. z/ L) v/ L i5 u/ o. s( C s) K- update ASSIST website
' R/ i! w+ T- Z a9 Z- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
0 R7 y4 Z. C! @% w- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services* V7 W& ]4 T& X
- assist in writing proposal for ISP6 j* a" z4 k" H5 L
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP
5 S! @3 L6 ?: |, Y- hold regular meetings with ISP team
4 g9 a8 }7 S" i/ Y* G& o6 ?6 |, U- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time. O* Z. ~- H% x2 C9 o6 Z! [

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)4 }% h! \8 N! h" b
2 O: G1 Z f$ u9 _) e j. PQualifications) k/ n8 n- `/ l4 x- G' j9 V
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 1 l9 `) u8 ~3 ~# Q2 w; R
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
5 y( ?& w0 k2 T, f3 A9 ~- experience in community work and immigrant services
