Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker
+ `7 s8 Q. v% ]. u7 X: u% k6 y(Full time: 35 hours per week)
Job Description
" v0 N+ C1 h) Q& ^! S7 R5 x; @3 _$ D-        answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
-        assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
$ v9 Q2 d2 Y  D6 e2 p& R-        reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Qualifications:
* @8 `: z7 k7 H-        post secondary diploma
-        customer service and office clerical experiences
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

Job Description
-        community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
-        workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services
-        fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services
-        develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
/ C/ Z+ ^) A/ j8 x-        coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
-        update ASSIST website
-        demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre
-        participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
% v3 l. J/ a% E-        assist in writing proposal for ISP
4 o& V) C6 H. ?# R! P9 Y-        write quarterly and final reports for ISP
-        hold regular meetings with ISP team
, P3 h+ p8 O0 Z# T4 f-        assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time
/ O( K6 u/ `. k2 }-        update membership database
4 C6 t) p: j0 q: b- ~! r-        work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
8 L! O! t3 I7 X/ d-        degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
-        good oral and written Chinese and English skills
: N$ s  Z2 Y& c8 G4 S. U-        experience in community work and immigrant services
-        Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
