Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Position Title: Receptionist/Immigration Services Worker

- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.
1 G7 e, P, a, E8 y% j6 c2 {) k- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
& H+ i2 u6 R6 Z, g- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team

Job Description
0 o0 u4 d+ j( |- p3 U+ o- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community
0 J! I$ m5 V0 }4 Y% s5 _- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services4 g, p- Y& A" c
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services$ S4 k* T0 r& D* E( U5 R
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies+ \0 J( O. B; y( J% L7 W2 s8 v9 {* h
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members

2 z& B4 c( e6 ~) ]2 R7 @- O" i- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- assist in writing proposal for ISP# J" z- f( w' t8 ~
- write quarterly and final reports for ISP; L+ L; G! N( v8 D) b1 e
- hold regular meetings with ISP team" ]. y. @0 g; w2 V
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time( y; u4 F% V- B r3 d
- update membership database( S9 g& i3 [. x: g5 T' j- L
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications8 ?4 L7 v& B x0 D4 P+ H6 K
- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education
# ]' }, H- N, i; M& y- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
7 ^2 a8 s7 I4 k) _9 ?& H) U- experience in community work and immigrant services
