Immigrant Settlement Program (ISP) at ASSIST Community Services Centre is currently seeking flexible individual to fill the following two positions:

Job Description
" v0 N+ C1 h) Q& ^! S7 R5 x; @3 _$ D- answer multi-line phone calls professionally, politely and directing the calls correctly.9 b9 M" @3 v" @# ~
- assist with providing counter services and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker
$ v9 Q2 d2 Y D6 e2 p& R- reports to the program manager and provides clerical support to all members of the ISP team4 H, X7 ?; E6 H% ?5 [
$ X9 T- z, c7 i( h1 {% b
Qualifications:
* @8 `: z7 k7 H- post secondary diploma 2 }0 W$ P7 D* U# ~9 N. y
- customer service and office clerical experiences) ?, n3 [4 j; S" i4 s
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community5 i: g: {$ ?$ X# y. j+ g3 e
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services+ D- Z! M+ E/ v( }9 e4 s. p- Z
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services# B" s' d3 Z" q% r% P' g
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
/ C/ Z+ ^) A/ j8 x- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members3 M2 T7 P, B) c C! Y$ I+ P
- update ASSIST website% Y2 P2 T; Q, ~0 a' I
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre& a* W7 {" c- o$ k# U- x% ]4 c
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services
% v3 l. J/ a% E- assist in writing proposal for ISP
4 o& V) C6 H. ?# R! P9 Y- write quarterly and final reports for ISP& v% p9 x1 E! x8 y% n+ X6 I3 N! }
- hold regular meetings with ISP team
, P3 h+ p8 O0 Z# T4 f- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

Qualifications
8 L! O! t3 I7 X/ d- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education B& S5 a0 c6 n+ v* q
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
: N$ s Z2 Y& c8 G4 S. U- experience in community work and immigrant services" Z8 `; J# }! x, o. g! w, J0 }
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset8 A; E* z0 C0 x" ?" m
