Works within the Network Team to plan, implement, and maintain network services for the University Libraries, supporting the computing requirements of approximately 300 library staff and a wide range of electronic services offered to library clientele0 e9 v1 k' G) J& t6 F4 a4 _6 }2 i
Responsible for specialization in workstation image management& R. q" s9 R& @8 U( G) a* b
Responsible for system administration of assigned Windows 2000 servers( \+ a) }% k9 Q3 u- e5 k4 X
Provides help desk and on-call (after hours) support: ?% W& _3 G* l" r: `9 A
Works within the Web Team to implement and support web-based applications to provide access to library resources and services and web-based productivity applications for staff8 d* C* V. N3 R+ S0 d' t) C& b
Edits and troubleshoots web content using Content Management System4 n1 W6 ` V* [9 g6 h: K& s
Develops programming using Cold Fusion and PHP9 x; H$ I/ U& l
Develops user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript and CSS6 A' t& h$ p) D, ?6 g
Designs, develops and implements MySQL relational databases

Two year post-secondary diploma in a technology support program N9 Q6 [* q! [! H& d9 U
Recent completion of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
, S" Y' F1 e0 iMinimum three years experience working in a technology support group for a large corporate network with hands-on experience managing Windows 2000 servers and client workstations- s' f' G( b$ s! {) _2 F& @# ^
Experience implementing and supporting interactive web-based applications using web programming languages and middleware applications (including Cold Fusion, PHP, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and MySQL) M; ]" w& k% J* h
Strong analytical, diagnostic, written and oral communication skills) S1 u9 v* C! C6 D' k
Ability to work independently and in a team environment and under pressure
