 Interior Designer

 PURPOSE:

 that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may+ g, M4 L6 V1 Y3 }4 _

 1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
 ! h) _2 P0 j* w+ @9 `$ C& Tfurniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to

 - E0 }3 I# v& X2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
 " D/ S4 S( w; tproduct pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
 7 |2 {8 N' b+ {& |8 |drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
 : y: F( t! x: r4 i# m+ p/ z" mspecification and installation.+ h. W0 A& b7 P7 p  t4 j# ?9 [
 3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
 ! R- v8 S) n# _- tmeetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
 9 M# b% J3 G, O, u" i; tneeds.
 3 D! H1 [. b5 w# ]4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
 2 l2 _5 i: C8 l8 V* b5 Xroutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
 ) p1 B% z1 d* y& n, m) `5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
 ) y8 s) D! S, Z3 Eplans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
 / }$ }! d& S+ N6 q1 H2 nsite in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence  ^; Q# p- y0 B9 n$ w7 K' M6 h

 6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect% v4 T( y1 ]0 ~$ Q: T
 & Design (A&D) drawing sets.
 p5 p( P% E# F' ~7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,( }6 W1 ^+ ]) J3 r- q  J6 M
 assures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes

 8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job( o7 t3 I6 o$ b. s5 V8 U6 Y
 inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
 6 O# o6 s6 p# q6 p8 F! W9 U0 v9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.% v" n2 G9 g$ r7 S- P
 10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.

 meetings with the furniture management team.

 Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
 ( q+ `, v+ H/ ]' Z  yrelated field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and* n& B: j( t' e% Q. o) |
 experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general& A2 y+ i- X" G; J7 ?: h/ Y7 b
 knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.* o( F/ y7 o" H. v7 ]$ O, M
