7 R) F4 h- X! C; _To perform furniture assembly, reconfiguration tasks and functions pertaining to
all types of furniture systems while maintaining high standard of quality and
excellent customer satisfaction. Assists in training and provides work direction
to furniture installers/assemblers.

% u7 F- ~8 S& h/ G. U) lESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

· Ensure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled accurately and

9 C& \7 r7 ]% o$ t· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.
· Drives to customer location and complete furniture assembly/installation to
8 ]' B' K" E: g$ Z2 P) Gmeet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
- @+ L" v, _4 g& G· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This
9 N  w9 F/ m2 Y1 I; Eincludes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and possible reconfigurations of metal
and wood furniture at customer location.

· Follows all safety procedures in the performance to job duties.

POSITION:

Interior Designer

PURPOSE:

& D2 \+ d1 t/ P9 SResponsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
! M' Q& _% A: ]* qCoordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
& Z, O8 `/ S! p( R3 x: |( xrequirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
1 W' k7 L! [7 J% `  P1 Zto the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may
4 R7 S9 \( S; H" v# |4 ]be assigned):

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to
" R1 P( j: c6 M# i( b0 q$ umeasure layout.
: W( i: k; p9 [0 Z0 m2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
- B' M( ^0 Y- _5 B" bdrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
9 N$ j) B+ R8 Xspecification and installation.
- _  C& ^% i% t* w  Y- m3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
, X' ?9 ^7 L9 k% Uneeds.
4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
7 S$ H' g9 g( C) `5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
" E0 ~. h% ^! r3 c  R) {checks.
6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
# W7 w0 F( |8 P& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
) U' ?9 i" h  F2 c4 A6 J; i. f7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
2 q3 ^4 l; E9 Sassures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
and revisions.
; h  j/ y& M8 W$ H: v! s" S# c' f8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
0 S' J7 F: N9 Z' b) v! T10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review
$ ^& R. ?; n6 U$ mmeetings with the furniture management team.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

5 `0 j& @5 D$ }8 ZBachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
$ c  A/ R5 X- D8 _- Q5 r# v2 nrelated field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
) ]- D& J& t% Texperience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.

Experience with furniture design and specification software required.
