Interior Designer

PURPOSE:

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of8 V/ v, Z( H' W3 g0 G; M8 b
furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to6 ?+ e! G7 X, P3 S/ F

2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,4 K2 `2 V" J; J) R4 g& h- @! l
product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
8 B1 B( f0 ^3 M. p; v4 _" Tdrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
' _( }! n) y5 kspecification and installation.
, {8 a3 l2 n. J* G ~3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning( l1 g. d( y' ~4 X8 m+ u
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these

4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
& I8 z/ O2 o3 f4 U" oroutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
# l# y8 a E0 L3 M! m z8 o5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction2 y8 O+ Z' x2 I' v3 z
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
4 E( G6 f! ]3 L2 q) q1 ^$ {site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence

, u0 S! P! Z% {) l6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect

and revisions.
5 A+ Q. S1 I. S3 O8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
0 H4 U! s$ E/ }8 Uinspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
' P3 } S, ]" q7 A' T7 J- y; n4 O9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
1 S) T' L2 U5 P. ]3 f- }1 b10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.2 {9 P4 {0 t( D' `
11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review3 L; W2 d, m1 c1 ~ C7 X) _, o

experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
0 \" G9 @$ R. j$ N6 b4 qknowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.
