To perform furniture assembly, reconfiguration tasks and functions pertaining to

to furniture installers/assemblers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

7 R6 Q4 T, q/ v/ q( b4 K· Ensure customer’s furniture orders are installed and assembled accurately and
+ W. U1 p6 X! n8 k# pin a timely fashion.
; e# X! q5 l  L6 L. }8 X' J· Loads furniture orders onto truck and delivers product to customer.
· Drives to customer location and complete furniture assembly/installation to
* O9 F6 q) Y3 O' B, G) ameet customer satisfaction. Inspects furniture for additional defects.
· Installs all types of free-standing furniture, panel and modular systems. This
( Y! G/ a6 S% \0 iincludes placement, leveling, wipe-down, and possible reconfigurations of metal
$ o$ l* l5 B: I% y, r& A9 k+ E' Qand wood furniture at customer location.
· Develops team skills in assisting with project management.

· Class 5 Drivers License with maximum 3 demerits

Interior Designer

( U3 V1 L8 r9 s) k3 @( ^PURPOSE:

% S  r( y# a7 {! p+ Y' DResponsible for activities related to design, space planning, layout, and
specifications of commercial-grade office furniture and systems products.
Coordinates and implements detailed space plans to address customer space
7 F$ g% N6 g  w6 Srequirements within allotted time and budget constraints. This position reports
0 }6 ~- j5 B! Bto the Supervisor, Interior Design or the furniture leader in those divisions
that do not have multiple designers and a design supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of importance. Other duties may

1. Consults with Sales Team in the layout, design and space planning of
furniture specifications for client offices. Travels to client’s location to
measure layout.
2. Performs programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, casework,
product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, includes as-built
% ]. j! a0 S$ B. M( @3 ^+ ddrawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for
specification and installation.
. t8 N- T$ Q5 {+ _9 T# C: |. D. e0 i3. Provides professional customer interface by attending client planning
meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these
needs.
4. Offers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering
! d4 v* V1 q; S$ L! e4 |6 yroutine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture systems.
5 N& t! B. I  k3 J" H; i$ `$ h5. Coordinates, develops, and reviews proposed project designs and construction
plans. Prepares presentation material including color finish boards. Reviews job
site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence
" R; b2 e2 N8 F; wchecks.
: U; q8 [! a1 M4 G6. Validates plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect
# N9 [  @+ i: H3 D+ H( f& L& Design (A&D) drawing sets.
% j1 q1 n4 z0 _' ]) d  S6 z% H& i" x7. Develops project specifications, double checks specifications against plans,
% F$ f5 [2 S2 q5 p, Massures specifications are ready for order entry (SIF file), and manages changes
* \5 L/ L7 C9 S, q! I& Cand revisions.
. Y( V& C1 |$ }! E9 S8. Verifies the company design standards have been met. Provides on-site job
' i% v. C  a! ]1 {8 U: G- y, O  Ninspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.
4 _" [: L% S) b( H& u9. Tracks, records and ties design hours to specific projects for job costing.
; s! v* A) g  U* c9 U10. Works with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications.
- [% [' J4 K8 f1 B$ X# k" P11. Participates in work-in-progress (WIP) and open order backlog review

PRIMARY INTERACTIONS:

Daily interaction with client account base and prospects, furniture vendors,
) ?2 V) P0 v" C+ n: T) i1 sinterior design department employees, furniture personnel, sales team, order
. F$ V8 @) Z# h1 Q0 q$ H) \! Vmanagement team, warehouse/delivery/install team and various architectural,
design, and construction representatives.

- R6 C  e1 p, m$ O2 nBachelor’s degree in Interior Design with a minimum of two (2) years in a
# S4 P9 b7 b/ O. v% e& K1 K4 Drelated field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and
experience required. Prior experience in office furniture industry, general
knowledge of systems furniture, and experience in customer interaction required.

Experience with furniture design and specification software required.
