Enhanced Respite Program

The YWCA Edmonton Family Services program is
/ G( h7 K( v- W& frecruiting for community support workers in the1 _9 R k% f, L' D% l, ^
Coordinated Enhanced Respite program at a variety of
8 v$ g4 ~( P" i5 e9 w( @* p% mlocations in the city.
! {# z1 z! \0 TStaff would provide respite care to parents or primary
' w6 x" c" K4 I$ G* \3 ~- W1 H" Xcare givers of children with moderate to severe physical' g) D% m9 S. @/ U {
or cognitive developmental disabilities for shifts of three
+ r8 g0 Y5 ]4 M(3) or more hours per day worked. During the school. r: S$ h1 H. e# Q/ Y
year, as the children are in school during the day, the! \# j7 b+ E% c: `& g
bulk of the hours available will be late afternoons and# O) o- F/ [( e! Z" V, Y" l/ a
evenings or on weekends.
8 N! Y: J2 z: h5 y3 O. \However, during the summer months, there will be
( u( h4 d4 O7 f3 T- E$ _extended hours available during weekdays while

Qualifications:. V) ^- J9 ~& G) z+ f
• a minimum of six months experience in working# q( R7 q, {5 x" z1 W. G$ x
with children with mental and/or physical/ ]: M' e7 v& G y/ P' ]+ m
disabilities (this could include volunteer work)0 f/ h5 c+ K0 j5 a
• the ability to support the clients with all aspects
& n0 n1 D$ a; d: q1 a+ R( y: vof community inclusion7 C) ^7 ~) S4 M% F( K
• Standard First Aide with Level C CPR
. A4 x3 S8 v9 G5 y5 e" T' }& r• Clear Criminal Record and Child and Youth

Job Duties/Responsibilities
