- q$ |7 ~6 _, U5 c3 U9 }4 K1 G * Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates programs and services to address the unique educational and social needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified,two-spirited and queer (LGBTTQ) youth in the Edmonton region
+ X# d8 |, w+ d& U& w4 K2 J * Develops and delivers community-based programming and provides support services for Youth Understanding Youth, Edmonton's sexual minority community youth group

* Provides interim quarterly reports and an overall annual productivity report and evaluation to the Assistant Director [) x% G; s# u" e* v( P. V
* Liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning and management; monitors project related expenses

* Researches and develops a LGBTTQ youth mentoring program0 m- P6 @9 d. Y! @
* Develops, implements and monitors a LGBTTQ youth risk and needs assessment
! C. O! z6 m x3 M) f * Develops benchmarks to assist in the evaluation of YUY programming and outreach supports% k2 f8 A" Y1 l' J; p# W2 @( Z% K! L
* Develops promotional materials such as posters, brochures, and displays to promote the youth group and mentoring programs( l/ X, f5 c( Q4 D' C, r
* Participates in the development of leadership training and educational programming at Camp fYrefly

$ d) @+ \, w+ [, W$ R9 s$ v * Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline
4 k9 O$ ~: B) G' U * Three to five years experience in community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
* |5 ]! I. N7 z T% ~& `; \6 L6 I * Knowledge in adolescent development, health and sex education, violence prevention,suicide intervention, alcohol and substance abuse, HIV and STI prevention and harm reduction strategies

* Demonstrated effectiveness in working with the LGBTTQ community5 @3 F- D/ h; l' }
* Fundraising skills an asset

* Outstanding group facilitation, training, and counselling skills
