1 k1 _6 Z" c- L0 g- N& W1 X * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program! L. a" b# W! p, n2 f) w# ~
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities, f2 L. [7 t4 ~& c
* Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes; n. z2 t% r0 X; Q Y: X8 ]0 P
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat$ _2 ~0 j1 y" `& ^+ {
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders E) `3 N- M- o( ~
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements
! S0 v, c$ n+ f, L5 { * Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs

* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials

* Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results
) j. U: j \) L: M * Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

+ E1 E) b5 m8 R7 A% L * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred0 L$ F7 g3 S. l
* Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth3 t9 v/ _6 c& ~% X, q$ s- l. S
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset
$ Z7 H. p. Q& L% }. U * Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies
# P" k* i9 e$ \( a1 [. n' t * Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills% y) G7 m7 Q4 m+ b/ ^+ A9 y
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning1 {$ D$ N7 A- O4 m
* Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
