: U0 v6 m) }$ G; z# T2 P * Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program
v8 e4 P, Q" V' u X * Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
: G% H6 C8 Q) ^# }) f * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes: U6 p: b% C4 g. i. h U( Y
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat% j) I+ ]: T3 w/ i
* Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders2 y7 h, U _ W# s; j
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements+ I3 e$ y R. A& \5 s
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs9 ~6 g/ Z8 }0 H7 L( e% s8 h9 p- G
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
; v3 ?7 g1 e) W * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning5 ]8 J1 L3 U, o+ R: S5 U% F; d1 d
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials; [* Q5 z* Q5 E" _) Q
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media

* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies

Qualifications

`# H l/ l& K& V4 a* Q u * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
6 A3 w3 h) S( h0 K: g/ W s- i * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth
' A" ] d+ c% H2 w! i * Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset& F1 a% D; a# o* Z
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies+ H$ ~$ [9 q6 |/ x4 {" X$ t0 h( ? m
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills
; G$ |# I9 y1 O7 P+ G * Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
, e- _6 C9 }7 A3 r5 A* X * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
