* Develops,coordinates, and facilitates the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS), Camp fYrefly sexual minority youth outreach program' R( h% O b0 C7 v
* Coordinates Camp fYrefly's year-round educational programming, peer leadership training,and youth mentoring activities
$ c% Y c* t" m* x3 p1 J/ D& P( Y * Coordinates, develops and oversees the camp application, recruitment, and selection processes' d/ j/ z9 w. z I) s+ E" J
* Recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers who support the delivery of Camp fYrefly's annual summer youth leadership retreat
' x" x7 m+ E8 ?# _! |- ~ * Develops and solicits appropriate workshop and educational programming in consultation with a youth advisory committee and community stakeholders' O" O( j4 l. \1 `# i
* Liaises with the Assistant Director to set appropriate work priorities, action plans,and volunteer and program resource requirements! J& @" ^3 [# L& c% v2 B m
* Works with the Assistant Director to plan, deliver and evaluate fundraising activities and donor recognition programs. S# M0 [/ x3 v3 D9 }
* Provides a year-end activities report and program evaluation to the Assistant Director
* E+ c* [: Y' Y: v! | * Serves as a resource person and liaises with the Assistant Director in budget planning* z2 a4 V# {7 `) v$ X7 ?& b
* Develops high quality promotional and educational materials2 t; O* f: r+ w- Q# f: ]7 V
* Develops and maintains relationships with local and national press and other relevant media
& W; H$ m0 Z, d2 ]. n% o * Creates and delivers community-based presentations on camp-related research and evaluation results: v2 P! `) H: E M
* Provides support and advice on emerging LGBTTQ youth needs and trends to Institute personnel and partner agencies4 l" Y e: ~% _! _

. Y# w' [7 N" y- D7 E, K * Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline such as education, human services, community development or social sciences; Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related professional discipline preferred
0 ^% C5 @# c$ o! m0 N& i * Three to five years background experience in youth programming and/or community development with a particular emphasis on sexual minority youth6 q; w+ u( Y) B* A
* Experience working with Aboriginal and ethnocultural communities an asset& l) P9 ]9 `# y+ t% R4 B' W9 B' g
* Knowledge of violence and bullying prevention, harm reduction, and youth advocacy strategies$ Q- X* i% v. e* U# e% b7 ]+ x9 m+ C
* Demonstrated experience in the development of youth educational programming, community outreach, and conflict resolution skills( T" f# F& Z8 ^% H8 d* T- i
* Knowledge and experience in fund development, volunteer management, proposal writing, and special event planning
, ~2 ^3 D: d* k x. u! e/ _: X2 i * Demonstrated skills in program/donor communication, development of information, education and communication material (including web-based documentation)
