Position: Position: Administrative Assistant, Member Relations & Communications / Salary: Competitive / Closing date: September 25, 2008.6 |) o) q& W# W) v

Abstract: reporting to the Manager, Member Relations & Communications, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Member Relations & Communications Team through timely distribution of materials and merchandise, support in event registrations, onsite event assistance, database maintenance, invoice maintenance, and reception relief. ; w6 [; q; C3 a  A- F2 j1 Q) y1 U# G

Key duties include: Volunteer Program; coordinate kits for volunteers; manage lists of potential volunteers/updating Dbase; provide administrative support (logistic for meetings, agendas, minutes and distributing materials) for various committees and; coordinate targeted mailings. / w9 v1 O% E; x/ a; a: M7 ]

Recognition Portfolio: manage lists of targeted individuals/update Dbase; assist with assembling materials for nominations for community awards and coordinate targeted mailings.- Z% e& }, a  Y- d2 r( Q- x$ h

General Support: assists onsite with events; provide reception relief; coordinate kits for staff, new members & transitional CAs; receive, organize and maintain communication materials/photos.

( r! R5 ?9 V' j/ XQualifications: a diploma in office administration combined with some work experience. Additional administrative experience will be considered in lieu of formal post secondary education.

, a; |2 F$ k: vThe successful candidate will be knowledgeable and have experience with a variety of software, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and the internet. In addition good oral, written, interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work within a team setting are required.
