Position Title:         New Equipment Sales Consultant. g7 y) ?7 i5 f& I4 {6 v
Location:        Edmonton

Major Responsibilities:
0 d! }  r' I( j6 z) J+ {+ x, u: ]•        Drive sales growth in respective geographic regions for New Equipment (industrial cranes).  This includes traveling by car or plane to all customer sites and locations.9 Z! D: t; k4 D7 b
•        Provide sales, technical, product and application solutions to customers throughout the assigned territory.
; F* x9 M4 d) P! }; S+ @9 b•        Perform joint or independent frequent calls to end-users to determine crane applications and installations.  This includes field verifications of measurements and other field installation requirements.  
3 h) s7 ]) \9 G& X•        Prepare and perform quotations and proposals as required.  This maybe in the field or in the office./ T( b/ ~* @) U6 f' n8 y
•        Follow up on potential quotations, projects and update quote log on a weekly basis.
0 Y; m6 {6 D8 s9 b* I•        Actively seek new sales channels and opportunities throughout the entire area.
/ `8 [& \$ z* ]8 Y+ s( \# p8 t•        Formulate and establish sales action plans, budgets, goals, quotas.
  M/ s% ?! p+ f0 O" R; b" [•        Ensure pricing levels are within industry levels and competitive.
+ \% \0 K1 Y  C8 O•        Assist in the development of promotional programs, training, marketing materials and sales tools.3 N8 i1 Z. O4 R3 B$ F. U1 `
•        Participate in development of sales and marketing strategy and long range planning.) u6 ?! d4 J9 }: U
•        Continually appraise company products, policies and procedures as opposed to competitor’s line relative to design, pricing, marketability, etc.  Recommend changes as required. Recommend pricing and product strategy.+ [( k) E, U8 v# E9 D! x; I
•        Maintain frequent contact with the National Sales Manager and plant staff. Appraise promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty and other customer services.  Recommend changes.% a* m& a; f: [
•        Actively participate as member of sales team.  Attend meetings and training at the office/plant as required.

•        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing/Business Administration or equivalent is required.
' W+ F+ ~, m( \% c! s•        Industrial equipment and crane sales related courses/training an asset. 4 w; L0 Z9 J( S; a
•        3-5 years’ progressive responsibility required in marketing, sales and related functions in an industrial, electrical and/or controls environment. " Z5 ^  L: N0 T3 I0 E' x
•        Mechanical/electrical aptitude.
9 ]# s) Z4 |. J! b•        Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office applications is essential
