Job Description
Position: Youth Services Manager
* U& F: R3 M* F' BFull time position (35 hours each week)

, I. C" ]! z6 O  m3 w- E: ]2 @•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
2 F1 r' A, g$ j5 }9 s# ?3 f0 l•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
( r5 J' Q3 P! `# }8 z•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
% p* l3 Q& p- @& M•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
* t! w# ^+ ^, p- O' k0 y•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
4 ]# r$ r$ M/ H0 ?- j2 O•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
; M& N' K1 c; a# I. u$ J- C: Q•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
4 B; k  L& m0 |3 e) R4 N•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
6 u1 S1 l4 q5 d7 k, G4 o, u7 ?( [•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

: I8 {/ _7 L7 ?1 c& e- JQualifications
& S& l+ H# R% U  j% T5 w' a•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
  p% Z1 t/ T8 h" n•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
•        willingness to learn
