Full time position (35 hours each week)

* \* r6 W) V5 P. ~3 XJob Description – Responsibilities
# W; K' K( {1 C) D! N•        accountable for T.A.N.G. (Towards A Non-Violent Generation) youth program
6 @5 i6 S3 d; M9 B( N+ O4 d& X. |•        writing final reports and assisting in grant proposals for future youth programs
•        supervising and recruiting volunteers for youth program
•        coordinate, develop and manage a summer youth program
4 }" T) y, C0 A•        liaison and working with community and community services providers to further develop youth and girls/women program
7 w- L  k1 s4 K5 o! N•        train in areas of management, organization and fundraising
•        accountable for evaluation of all activities based on logic model
•        demonstrate team spirit in achieving visions and objectives of the Centre
7 g) ?6 c1 w9 H. \•        participate in external committees, conferences and workshops for youth related issues
•        be open and willing to explore new ideas
) B; ], u& n2 t% O% G& }* f•        assist with other activities/programs at the Centre
•        work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
•        be energetic, enthusiastic and most importantly, sense of humor

Qualifications
•        degree/diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or any other post secondary education with related work experience
6 a; j2 I: P+ e•        good oral and written English, second Asian language an asset
) S/ W( E  d, w. W( y# s/ c$ {•        experience in community work, supervising and managing youths, volunteers, immigrant related issues, experience or knowledge of crime prevention issues an asset
•        leadership skills, well organized, able to multi-task, good social skills, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

•        requires police security check at the expense of employee and child welfare check
