* T3 H2 G1 O: x4 o% JPosition Abstract: The Children & Youth Programs provide social recreation & skill development activities for children between the ages of 6 - 15 who are experiencing behavioural difficulties, have been diagnosed with a mental illness or live in a family with someone who has a mental illness. + ]' I' e" \% J6 m5 |* \5 t1 }

Qualifications: The Social Recreation & Life Skills Coordinator is organized, possess great time management skills, enjoys a high energy environment/easily builds rapport with children. The successful candidate has experience in the coordination/implementation of recreation programs & has a working knowledge of the affect of mental illness on children.

1 T+ R5 D; c! k0 ^* x6 BAdditional qualifications include: A relevant post-secondary human services program degree; 2 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education/experience working with children; Able to work flexible hours (including some evenings/weekends); Valid Class 4 or 5 driver's license/access to a vehicle.) X' l* m, i6 L- n! x6 K+ m
% U1 m+ Q1 I, S- Y2 r, HPLUS: Knowledge/experience in program development, evaluation & research; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Current First Aid; Able to provide current, clear criminal record check & child abuse registry clearance.
