是的，只有6个月。6个月以后就是regular的价格了。basic cable 能收到大概37，8个台，全是英语和法语台，没有中文台。

本小猪不是促销。事情原委是这样。我打电话要求装cable basic + high speed internet light(低速) bundle.他们居然收初装费，价格是常规价，4月2号才装。刚好30号的时候去大学，有shawcable 的促销。优惠条件如上所述而且第二天就给装。我就取消掉原先的，重新申请了这一种。觉得比较实惠。建议大家如果有需要的，可以当作个机会。
上面留的电话不是我自己的，是shawcable的安装人员的号码。

I phoned Dennis. I wanted the package of basic TV + high-speed lite internet. He gave me the following deal:
1. free connect;
2. free for first month;
3. for next 6 months, pay $ 35 + GST per month (i.e, half TV price $ 10 + full internet price $ 25);
4. then after 7 months, pay regular fee, i.e., $ 41 + GST per month.

17楼说得对，我就是这样的,basic cable+lite speed internet

5月初安装，到6月30号，两个月要交34.9+GST=37块多,
从今年12月开始，每个月40.95+GST

不过网速是不快，想视频的可以装高速的，不过要多30，还要自己买modem，$30买电话卡好像一个月用不完, personal opinion
