Job Description

As a Business Analyst, you will analyze business requirements, conduct impact analyses, and perform design, development, support and documentation activities in a dynamic and multi-application environment. Working under a Team Lead, you will help to develop a long term plan to replace our client's legacy applications.
# ^9 R8 W3 Z; z3 t8 NAs part of this endeavour, you will be responsible for performing the following type of activities:$ T. `/ S# j& k* N8 `- ~/ h
Convert business requirements into design specifications and prepare specifications for user sign-off.
8 ?7 t% W) [( v& c; ICreate process and data models to visually represent requirements information. 3 _: }4 J# K0 ~+ O3 N
Perform system testing with internal and external clients. Provide support during various phases of testing.
7 n# s/ y5 l* ~; {2 Z+ ?4 IAssist with the resolution of code deficiencies found during the assembly test and system test phase. - B1 ^" J9 R! u0 \' N
Support, maintain and upgrade application after it moves into production. ! e4 V! ~3 d1 V
Analyze current technical and business objectives, plans, processes, information flows, and systems.
) H9 |, n3 {) o$ _0 ?! C4 z. pAssist in the identification, assessment and resolution of application problems and recommend modifications. 5 ]( D# O. ~% x
Summarize and present key findings with recommendations for improvement.
+ s9 v" s- v" [$ W/ CResponsible for working with Project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables.
' \8 i6 Y! y$ f4 _1 N) ~ Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development, experience with legacy applications would be an asset( Z( i \; L4 z; {3 i( Y2 |
• A university degree in Computer Science, Commerce (MIS), or similar discipline is preferred, but an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
+ O7 E9 U s8 _5 T2 {• Experience with Web Applications, VB.net, C# and/or .NET technologies an asset.
) B2 u, `9 O8 ~3 @! u9 \4 D5 s) Z• Understanding of Object Oriented design principles and the .Net Framework.- _0 g( U- K b6 I; Q
• Exceptional consultation skills are critical, with the ability to convey technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and contribute within a team environment. j. p9 T9 z6 n% F/ L! I' S
