A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

• Standard Child Care First Aid7 a- d* x* I0 Q0 g8 h, d$ w$ j
• WHMIS! M7 t, ~) L1 }/ W' U8 C! i
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
" U! J ^1 H8 H. m• Components to improve communication skills) W! C, Q5 O+ _1 c/ P; L; ^$ q
• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search

Eligibility Criteria
7 H2 p4 Q! a4 K+ O4 P• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
4 t7 E: e/ W* X. S5 Kof Canada
& [ ?% `% q7 c- D8 G7 J• have a Social Insurance Number
/ C0 G1 {4 p" i% z" A h4 [• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
+ s# K; B1 W" q3 I; U• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent9 q" Q# K* {9 p3 V
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time

Participants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet
. V7 L' G& y ?9 u( e; v) X$ hthe following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:& q, K# j) e: f7 o, l
• be unemployed or underemployed.; e, F- e- |1 j }3 w% }9 \2 J
They CANNOT quit their job to take the course* n/ _1 n+ `( ?6 r3 u
• meet the financial eligibility criteria
