A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.

knowledge to help them succeed in entry-level child care positions.) X- q% h7 j! P9 Y
The program includes the following elements:

# x6 \& _% n# I• Standard Child Care First Aid
# T) d7 N+ l: d% Z8 E6 n& `; ]. x6 a• WHMIS: ~* k0 }4 v q7 h& i3 f" @$ r
• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
$ h0 P X7 n4 K% p* ~# P o9 o• Components to improve communication skills
; ^" v4 s5 S# r# ]• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search" A8 D4 W: e1 Y8 f1 X* R
• Practicum Placements

9 |8 W4 z# g# ^& s• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen; X& M7 w" q9 e, U
of Canada
% N7 `! U- H! z* g3 J: E8 y0 E• have a Social Insurance Number
! O/ V% |3 m" J3 J: U+ V% A• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
" W! T2 S7 ]0 h& } k. z• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent
: S s( L9 e1 q2 r& @0 T }• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time3 n# E: B' Q6 u$ F( C
program
' l" k" Q+ Z7 N8 L" RParticipants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet% O2 k) @( P8 I8 b" n% ?
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:

• meet the financial eligibility criteria
