A twelve-week training program for careers in Child Care.
) d& R. R* X! N; S' _This program is designed to provide participants with the skills and

• Standard Child Care First Aid! f( z- Z: R; n
• WHMIS
- y7 {- E# g, r) h• Practical and theoretical modules relevant to child care
& P U; W1 P4 m" k3 q• Components to improve communication skills
: W2 D; G) x+ U7 d5 y& T6 h) L' a• Modules on Work Place Culture and Work Search
5 @' p2 `# w0 H- T+ W5 G2 C• Practicum Placements4 A" R: X1 p/ H9 q0 l
Eligibility Criteria0 `( ?% ] p+ v
• be a landed immigrant, convention refugee or new citizen
) b4 c" S7 U3 K- Z: Q: Xof Canada
* g, @) c% E k$ a• have a Social Insurance Number
- J, N$ r. h% C• provide a completed criminal record check and child welfare check
1 v+ w: Z8 E1 d; b3 J8 |• CLBA score of at least 4 or completion of LINC 4 or equivalent5 `5 T, \; Q. L& M5 p5 d! C+ Z
• demonstrate commitment to participating in a 12 week full-time
) r6 c4 s3 P w+ n$ \/ Mprogram
& K- v- D6 _, U& JParticipants may be eligible for Grant Funding if they meet, |9 H1 R. S( {$ a9 v9 g) ~ W
the following requirements, in addition to the one listed above:
