?& W$ a5 \" }/ F- _+ P * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications
9 n' N4 }+ @; N * Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis8 A6 y S: \% t1 @1 s
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance0 P8 ], z& |/ q0 a4 E# B! v
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students ! {- }* {& d4 s
* Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies
- Z: j% P7 g) ]0 B$ T; t M * Delivers completed data to users; maintains instrument and safety logs
