/ `- q) N+ l2 @ * Conducts isotopic analysis of geological samples using Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometry, including performing isotopic analysis of standard samples and control solutions to verify machine performance specifications; N+ g3 d4 A' ]' ]8 a( B
* Loads purified samples to filaments for analysis; V9 t: c* ?$ u3 }7 [
* Performs data entry and ensures quality control and quality assurance/ X! H- f5 y5 h, ?0 Y# u4 d
* Coordinates instrument analysis schedules for Research Associates, Post Doctoral Fellows and Graduate Students
6 @+ B6 A* F( Y" s3 F% w7 w * Provides general technical support and routine husbandry for the Mass Spectrometry Laboratory, including preparing filaments (welding and out gassing) for analysis for use by self and others; cleaning instrument components and conducting minor repairs/replacement of components; checking glassware and pipettes; orders consumables and supplies

$ R3 k, s: e* b, f/ E * Assists in the upkeep of safety procedures and information; completes routine checks on safety equipment
