Youth Summer Program Assistant, 2009

Responsibilities:
-        Support the Youth Program Coordinator in the preparation and
        implementation of the Summer Camps
-        Assist with facilitating the summer program
: G5 E3 R8 O: `) Y-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
2 B% O: Q& |; Q9 i5 n-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Youth Program Coordinator

+ C. g" O+ |3 M5 P  |- W; pQualifications:
! ?# s- R" j5 Q+ m-        Post secondary student in Education, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood
        Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
; V* o+ g: ~. [0 b& M-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
4 @3 l$ K* T* N, J; b: j$ V  D% f-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Returning student (should return to school after summer)
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

Other Information:
-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm (35 hours/week) in May and June (planning)

Salary
-        $14.00 per hour
