Job Description( i; p( E1 s q
- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to ' A+ n& r$ G3 }2 v8 \' |
provide services for Chinese community, ~$ t# g2 D: `3 i1 k, b
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 6 c- H/ o* d6 b
access to mainstream services
- i3 j+ b( G- F% S- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of % s* _3 c; x1 L- T l5 M8 w
social services& ]% ~6 m; p0 P
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies y( y" r( x4 S& F- d, q
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members8 Q! f( D' I, s1 Q, Q0 X- Y9 d
- update ASSIST website' k& k$ N' B$ F% U9 c' p
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre0 K/ b0 V" M8 i# ]# s& A3 @ G
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services3 r6 I, C1 h6 F: w6 f( t; x# S* B
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time+ I+ o! g9 {1 I/ C( C( j
- update membership database# ], W+ J& r" |: o1 U
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)! Q K L/ o& G# U6 W# ^

S% {6 G8 U4 E6 X7 y/ H2 N- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of # d1 p+ w1 ^9 y7 f! O9 q2 n
experience and education 5 Z! ~7 M0 h$ E" B7 c9 D. E
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
4 t( H' k' w6 B, g, ]2 C- experience in community work and immigrant services! R& ?, K3 z; C
- experience in website update/design
" s) T# u O, W) h! v. s- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset) @4 Y7 Z* o. B8 D8 N. p$ g ^
