Position title: Community Development Worker

Job Description

access to mainstream services
) [2 f! [1 e' d, P) @2 H9 r# v" R2 d- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of

+ j4 @3 J/ P& ]- d2 _$ {- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies2 E+ c- ?! ]/ d" u6 H- T
- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members" {' B; b8 \1 l
- update ASSIST website
. {; x2 p" ~ P ^% |! b, a- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre

- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time

- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

# b/ j: W" s+ w1 F$ O+ z# N- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of M4 x: Z$ f m/ Q7 U1 J
experience and education
0 G2 v/ n. h9 y0 W( Q. S6 m- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
* I0 u3 t$ S- c; m' P. e- experience in community work and immigrant services
3 H( O0 S( @+ M# [. h" f- experience in website update/design
& B6 U7 a+ O4 a% w q& g' s. r- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
