Term: 1-year Contract for Maternity Leave (Full time: 35 hours per week)

- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to
9 n0 q; P$ v8 V% g b: I provide services for Chinese community
: k& e4 E# e4 F- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population 1 l$ h: l1 X; I$ T
access to mainstream services/ L/ b5 X$ v! _6 ^# p
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of 7 J& b A# r" ]7 b
social services, ]) i4 D w r5 ]; G6 I3 X) Z2 n* ?* @
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies
+ N- N0 y+ z7 S g6 l! [, a- coordinate good will activities and send out quarterly newsletter to members
$ m" g4 B7 e# H, d- update ASSIST website' d" u- E7 g1 Y
- demonstrate team spirit in achieving vision and objectives of Centre( e; ]6 d m8 r. E/ K
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services' ~1 g% d- _0 F: C
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time; `( |3 o! |% I# H# Z
- update membership database; T- L' D* `/ R* e- r
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

Qualifications
2 p* w4 J' Z* \- |% X7 Z" F, O v- degree/diploma in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of
& a: I9 c5 ^7 H% X& Z# J! j* X experience and education ) `7 U; X8 r( D1 j' T3 p. W n
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
0 T; Y; z( H4 ^% O* t7 N% z- experience in community work and immigrant services# w; h9 u! q* S4 v8 l+ S4 Y
- experience in website update/design+ w3 A5 U5 R# {) G0 S! l( W
- Fluent in English, Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is an asset
