Summer Children’s Fitness Program Co-ordinator

) l  q% K' `6 [* h; i- Organize focus group(s)
- Organize and facilitate summer children’s program (ages 6 to 10) with focus on physical recreation, fitness, nutrition, sports
1 U; u! N' Z: K" o! c% N- Recruit children for summer program
! y' `" b1 e% ?4 g5 x" a- Provide orientation for parents
: G- [, Y# |* x2 B0 W( R- Find sponsors to enhance program
- Supervise volunteer(s)
- Prepare final report for funding agency

( d$ r6 m+ }6 z% s; X) t5 @Qualifications:

) Z; A+ A% @2 O$ |- post secondary student in Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Early Childhood Development, Physical Education or equivalent of experience and education
- good coordinating and interpersonal skills
2 O$ }8 G6 K2 E) T- communication skills
/ n1 R/ l4 X( o" M' H# k& h- must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
  ?; P$ Q" a8 T3 N  i2 W- fluency in English, other Asian languages an asset
0 ?. Z  F+ W) i3 n- good computer skills
- leadership abilities
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Salary

- $10.50/hr for 30 hours/week, June 1 to August 31, 2005
