Responsibilities:

/ }# [0 R7 j0 @7 K' oPerforming product upgrade activities in the Production environment
Participating in data migration and conversion initiatives
Performing changes to software configurations as requested by the customer
8 Z/ s0 G6 P7 c+ h6 [Performing  the analysis, design, development and review of production  scripts (datafixes, queries; ad hoc and production batch jobs - extract and update)
5 h, `+ K8 E1 eTroubleshooting production issues
Participating in the development and documentation of standards and procedures for work performed by the Application Support team
6 F, _& u1 ^; x1 E0 k4 EMaintaining information required to support products after implementation (e.g., changes to customer contact information, changes to authorized approvers, etc.)
% l6 C( W: X2 C2 K4 wProviding technical and work management of 1 – 2 analysts on small projects
: W9 V! O3 g' t- k- ZProviding application and environment training to other SSD Operations employees, primarily other Application Support Analysts and Customer Support Specialists
( {( S$ b3 T( E3 S1 n+ BDeveloping tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Support team.
Work directly with clients, both internal and external to SSD.

General:
, R. M; G/ t7 T( ^4 X) ?Diploma or certificate in the Computer Systems field plus 4 or more years of practical experience in application support and/or software development
Experience using standard development and/or enhancement methodologies
Detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, exceptional trouble-shooting skills
* T7 R, Z# T, |* V1 sStrong organizational skills; must be able to juggle a number of complex tasks at once
/ `  f0 @; P' F7 E  B7 bStrong communication skills, both written and verbal as incumbent will be gathering requirements and presenting solutions to clients, both internal and external to SSD.
' O  F) u7 d. L6 ~Technical:
Required:
Experience supporting applications in a UNIX/ORACLE environment
" l3 P1 J) S" V3 o  _Demonstrated experience with UNIX shell scripting and SQL/PL-SQL
Experience implementing, maintaining and supporting automated (cron) jobs in a UNIX environment
Strong SQL skills
