Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff. 1 p4 y$ ^" K: j, |2 S2 |

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students ! Y$ y7 m- H! ~( l
(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

" Q# @4 A6 b, q. }0 kActivity Planning and Daily Activity
g$ D2 o9 T' y; }; {$ ^( x9 ^! S• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership., o+ S/ D! `5 @& b! H" M
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring. & n4 x6 e/ f; s3 G: x
• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball,
$ a* H& y$ o4 V1 O; K• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.3 o. E+ [+ P' Z8 q4 a' W$ p- V& k
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
1 R# c2 A- B$ ~+ Y• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:
) K: u8 b7 V( c6 P, E• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
* B6 O& k! W; ^7 k8 q/ ]( o1 ?• Experience with children
1 W7 q! S. C# l3 ^• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
! O& `& i% p. g• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.6 [* B( l" n! W: r
• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
9 ?3 h# I/ b% Y% X• Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources7 V" X6 B. X9 Q0 u! }) x" c# P2 W
• A clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
