& L  W1 i; c& w- y& ZBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  Together with the Africa Centre, we are looking for 2 temporary full time summer student staff.

2 Multicultural Summer Camp Program Students
1 d3 X. y) a( p, y5 l: v, }" v(10 week @ 35 hours a week contract. Must be returning to school)

Key Responsibilities Include
- n) n: O3 k% X& f4 k; UActivity Planning and Daily Activity
•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
3 ?4 L& {2 Z( L% c2 e* W•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
% O# \2 `' C' R6 A- M5 u4 E•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
, z8 k% P2 M( G6 N$ Y; o•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
7 b: K  q: Y; n•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
•        Experience with children
0 G+ A6 K, P# d: m9 T9 T4 R9 e( r•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
) v# @; s0 @- Z4 v' v9 u. R- i2 |4 {•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources

•        A clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check

In addition to an excellent work environment, The Africa Centre & Big Brothers Big Sisters offer an hourly salary of $15-hour .
