- s0 l5 P7 @+ r5 JBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families. We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

2 m4 I" R8 @5 p/ w' s) p+ dKey Responsibilities Include:
/ t6 y" j; E. P7 c$ zActivity Planning and Daily Activity z7 D: m8 t0 b2 w
• Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their resilience, relationship building and leadership.4 j5 p$ y) T1 {
• Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
H9 e: n; B- |+ X+ R# ]• Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer and volleyball, / r* Q. F8 C. X
• Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.% i- R: ]3 r' g: ^+ q5 R
• Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
. ]/ S1 x5 f. t2 ^2 K4 B* D• Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

The successful candidate will have:/ G$ N! u* _& {, d6 t2 x
• The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
0 Y% `! z: J5 X7 b" Q1 g# q9 |3 O- p• Experience with children" ~. h W/ }$ f: F: X3 N9 Z r
• Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
: U% W$ I3 h1 l% X3 N$ K+ g7 l• Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
7 C: H; Z$ O, y! e" Y4 I9 e4 a• Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.

) J; [! }, S+ @# ]- t3 F- f• Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
. K8 }2 B+ n3 Z6 C- G• Documentation of a clear vulnerable sector Security Clearance check ; [+ |# `2 ]7 b/ r i/ |2 F+ q! v
! r2 D% r+ J; _4 F; S' L7 o. Y
