; c7 U( Y$ `1 tBig Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area provides mentoring programs to more than 2,800 children, youth and families.  We are looking for 4 temporary full time summer staff.

(8 week contract @ 35 hours a week)

Key Responsibilities Include:
Activity Planning and Daily Activity
: A# x; v& }2 K- y8 i8 a•        Assist in planning, organizing and relevant activities for children and youth to explore new avenues including leadership & life skills, recreation, and their cultural community that enhance their  resilience, relationship building and leadership.
•        Participate in the delivery of all programs in the areas of crafts, sports and tutoring.
•        Participate in and lead sporting activities; know and have the ability to apply game rules for basketball, soccer  and volleyball,
•        Provide proper supervision in all activities to ensure the safety of the program participants.
•        Supervise the children and youth at breakfast and lunch time.
3 R" [+ j5 d7 {' L. |% f! R  W+ Q•        Help to maintain housekeeping standards by ensuring all program facilities are left clean after each activity and each meal.

+ C/ Z- k' s: j( H6 ?2 K, _The successful candidate will have:
# I( t1 |$ I. a; V; k•        The enthusiasm and ability to work with a variety of ages of youth in a group setting
( N& M7 N. t7 Q1 u, C3 \•        Experience with children
•        Demonstrated knowledge of sporting, activity planning for youth
•        Knowledge the English language and the ability to support math tutoring.
•        Ability to manage time effectively and be results oriented.
•        Knowledge of children’s activities and community resources
•        Documentation of a clear CYIM (Child & Youth Information Management) check
