The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.4 j0 ~( d* O2 N" h& E

• Greet and provide assistance to incoming visitors6 t! W/ S! u9 P$ A
• Answer multi line telephone system
6 e. k/ q o# W# w2 v5 ^' h• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries/ l8 E$ q K! P7 w6 E7 m
• Arrange courier services for all departments

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail- f' x% e+ ~: j9 ?
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries! Q7 j, H' A. d
• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency
0 E4 y9 j# V0 i: V( _• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration

• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution

• Assemble and forward information packets as requested

: L- W+ q' I- L: ]( w" P4 }: s1 W• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
1 e+ j' d- A$ `1 E3 |• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
& h; D' m' r% m2 ]' y• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset' d- Y5 ]# M0 V% r5 A
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Able to interact in a positive manner with diverse population
