The YWCA is recruiting a Receptionist. The Front Desk is the central point for internal and external communications for all departments, programs and events. A sound understanding of overall activity of the agency is essential. This is a position that requires strong customer service skills, as it works collaboratively with staff and volunteers to provide the best possible information and assistance.

• Answer multi line telephone system
" [; ^2 B, F& {$ E; E6 s; K. B• Receive and distribute mail and deliveries
' T! Z9 d3 J" L7 h6 d( f• Arrange courier services for all departments
. \2 K+ M+ n- C. F• Oversee Y-Knit program; provide support to its volunteers

• Receive sort and distribute mail and packages; post outgoing mail! P( ^5 d* b' \2 j# [2 E$ E
• Sort and distribute mail and deliveries
! c- x$ @9 ` ]: o$ R• Provide clerical support (e.g. word processing, data entry, photocopying, faxing, e-mailing, printing labels, mail-outs, and filing) to all departments of the agency % z* p: C6 K* m% V! `0 @4 T
• Update and maintain databases as assigned, including those for Fund Development and Administration& l V" i9 \9 u+ A& l0 L9 k; Z3 ]
• Assist with task management for administrative volunteers % F! S' \3 f+ q
• Create monthly staff bulletin and prepare for distribution
( K$ t a0 {! Q3 g" S' H, Q/ N• Assist Business department with weekly bank deposit and processing payments & b2 Q( _* E H( l M. z+ c
• Assemble and forward information packets as requested! o, x) z0 |0 n# i% |

• Accept and process registrations for participants or attendees at various special events and staff training C4 Y& }5 |. K R
• Process payments for ticket orders and registrations

Qualifications:

& G6 q1 p. f5 p2 M8 b• Minimum 2 years office experience in areas related to office reception, and office procedures
# B/ n3 h1 T! x: ?- k, j- v• Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.9 }6 J% f( |/ P; C
• Skill in Desktop publishing is an asset& j% ^. D! ?! t6 S8 M, A3 W- x! x
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
