. b s& i9 _; J0 _+ _$ L * Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory, a6 j. o3 O+ n9 x; \4 Q9 A
* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr# ?& ?: c: \( |$ S* i
* Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps4 ~0 z% a" L! G- M
* Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations

Qualifications
/ H5 ~+ t$ ~! D5 h, O$ @9 _- z+ `* ~2 C# o u
* Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred
6 X8 [8 {: z" A% \/ }5 F: u * Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation
3 A! ^; v u8 m& x# S) ~ * Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers
& W$ M+ D% G" A8 ~9 i. d! G1 Z7 E * WHMIS training
; }! `3 I) B3 F# b- I * Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset
