, \+ Z2 b6 R( u# e * Provides technical support and husbandry of the Thermal Ionization Mass Spectrometer (TIMS) Laboratory& V0 h& c4 G; P* E- B# h% x" m9 \: K
* Performs isotopic analyses on a broad spectrum of chemical elements, including Pb, Os, Nd, Sr7 p# f7 p- G1 Y! O0 N
* Completes routine maintenance on the TIMS and auxiliary equipment, such as vacuum pumps. C6 x5 z6 ~- H
* Performs data compilation, analysis and data reduction calculations

* Technical diploma in Physical Sciences, preferably Geological Sciences or equivalent; BSc in Geology or Chemistry is preferred
8 q$ U2 R/ | F9 |/ a/ o/ G' H; P& M8 U * Specialized training on thermal ionization mass spectrometers, geochemical analyses, and instrumentation8 E, G+ K: Z3 Y8 @# h& ]' P
* Experience in an established research laboratory with demonstrated knowledge of lab safety regulations and procedures including general lab hygiene and specific safety protocols for thermal ionization mass spectrometers
$ @8 S+ \( L/ E* g# _ * WHMIS training3 x: s! I) A7 h+ [& [" b
* Computer competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and programming experience would be an asset# Z( t h( N* M1 ^1 Y. w; b1 x
