Events and Volunteer Committees, this position will be responsible to: 2 P5 Z# v3 ?" @2 n( v, B

Duties: Special Events
; b6 }5 l) P) k, F3 V. z8 nPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: " M6 c$ D! l4 Z5 Y+ X' w- ]
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
- b) y" [, G9 {' G+ j1 c/ N· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
- b9 `$ e; V8 [3 Q: Z5 k/ G9 Fwith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
; `& T( x9 E( V" s: [* ]( B# Z3 h, wadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure
0 F: J0 i# ^* }; d& f0 Tset-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events. + q" W9 M3 ^# }( l: P# l' z* i8 U$ @
· Attend and manage Special Events $ _* i/ D, x1 r

Duties: Volunteer Coordination 0 F2 a. m* C: l. @3 z9 z8 r2 Z$ M5 n
Assist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 3 c$ r+ v4 t! f) }, c
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
s: y7 P* _! v* z· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers ! \5 Q" z6 }" R. B1 L8 `! U
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers ; X. o! p0 u' ~' ]% F. U' d
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 2 b2 U7 l7 }3 H& M
· Complete program administration, statistics and records # Q6 n% U. N# G+ E0 g

Qualifications: 5 ?' L3 c0 } e0 T$ y ?2 ]2 @4 H
· Completion of 12th
& u( P5 r7 F; e6 ^$ a+ b7 C Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation # }* J% A; Z' V5 S
Administration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent. / v1 H" i7 y6 @6 R- F# z
· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct
# b; B2 w/ M8 ~8 kexperience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events
6 W/ [5 U' M7 L) `( d$ k; ^, U* ?· Experience working with and managing volunteers
% L3 f- @7 Y0 l8 O9 O4 ]· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors 5 D- t5 w. g' D; g* M% I' `
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events
$ X) E% Q; [# M2 B, s· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training & c" j. i+ ?8 A! \
· Security Clearance $ }" T; H5 L% `) n; q/ ~1 l
