Under the direction of the Program Coordinator and in collaboration with CLSA Special

8 \- i) m/ P L" d$ G; KDuties: Special Events
; t8 }' o1 [- k% ~' PPlan, implement and evaluate Special Events: 3 {1 Q0 Q6 a; Y1 G1 F* g
· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
& M" @) i" B+ u· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist " C8 X- T$ |- S$ b3 H
with decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
! k8 r5 r0 x% I! k$ Sadvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure + S6 B- k& w4 ^% X' T7 H
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

Duties: Volunteer Coordination
8 H/ ~7 Q! ^" ^1 F5 SAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program:
' S& A: s$ ?8 G' w7 E9 _· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
. F* I. t! v I+ N L( N· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers 6 ~, M: K3 O- p) |7 y5 C' p
· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers + V) x: C# Q' h, H6 Y* p/ l
· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers 5 p7 _4 {1 j4 P6 w o T
· Complete program administration, statistics and records " x9 V* F) G" O7 k) A3 i
' n! ]4 C3 R, E& F7 t3 I( o8 _1 IQualifications:
( _1 Q P% F2 j m8 b( Q· Completion of 12th
/ U( {6 {4 g8 e3 ^+ c Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
a- _+ d; z( ^( mAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
8 f; X% [8 A- ]6 Z/ H· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct ; g& ^: t" S! H: {4 }
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events : \$ ^9 P$ G8 ~- F
· Experience working with and managing volunteers ! W+ j& \! D( m, a
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors 9 a& f! |# ~' n# Z6 C( B, J
· Ability to instruct, organize and supervise group activities and special events * R: k$ W3 g- I. V5 y$ g" ?3 p
· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training ) `/ a; H( z& y+ V" \" B; A9 A' y
· Security Clearance
