· Select and develop themes in collaboration with the Committee
( O7 j* O& E* P) Y* m" l· Oversee event logistics: book entertainment, catering services and venue; assist
, r( E0 A! X! f7 Owith decorating; ensure tickets and invitations are available; assist with the
9 J R% v6 r" Ladvertising of events; recruit, place and supervise volunteers for events; ensure $ n/ i; X. j1 u" d8 |& r
set-up and clean-up; monitor event budget and complete evaluation of events.

& a- H& Z: k8 a+ PAssist in developing and implementing a volunteer program: 3 {' I# f: r5 Q+ _; g
· Develop job descriptions for volunteer positions
4 q' ~# F6 B6 D; j$ `" ?· Recruit, interview, screen and place prospective volunteers
# h) M& q, U* A4 s" I· Provide initial orientation and training for new volunteers
! @9 l! S0 F. Z, s* Q· Ensure provision of recognition and evaluation of volunteers ' l8 E/ Y2 G$ ]5 I. i! R
· Complete program administration, statistics and records ' s1 w$ ~8 u3 _7 U# a+ h! v7 r

$ _0 i4 x; t+ T. `2 m· Completion of 12th. n- A# b) Q4 l
Grade and a minimum of a Diploma in Recreation
9 t" A; J) g9 ^+ F" W; H. FAdministration, Volunteer Management or Special Event Planning or equivalent.
# v1 W2 L. Z* R/ Z' ^( q( v· At least one year of experience in Recreation Administration and some direct 3 E0 V3 H. x5 _+ C: T, v
experience in conducting recreational, cultural or other related events 7 y& D' {, d# G0 c% b2 i/ ~
· Experience working with and managing volunteers 3 R5 L q7 ]2 a# p7 y8 q, T" p2 n
· Specialized skills and training in working with seniors

· Current Standard First Aid, CPR & AED training
