CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public. C3 m: {3 b# Y/ R( q* ~+ d

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.

• Meet weekly with Program Managers to define priorities.

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.0 t% g \6 ?# A+ R6 l

& D" R9 i$ b% \4 ~• Manage database and support distribution of print publications.

' X6 n8 }) C, E! p) R" Y• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport. r9 m* K3 `3 \4 Q3 r# b0 U

Fund Development2 q( `: S- g1 Q/ O

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.. E P3 j0 {1 q, W

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.$ ]: y( w2 Q5 I' k
* y! p1 v$ O* I4 m1 l5 U/ K• Support logistical work required for CFCA’s Annual General Meeting

* h Y5 Y& S) dSkills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.8 ~8 L9 e' {" V h
