6 H1 q& a' M' ]CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.1 C7 r7 X9 O4 q1 f4 r/ C

• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual." I; B7 E- T* [& \: \

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.9 {7 q: d) i# ?4 b. [4 Z, ~0 T. W

• Manage all CFCA administrative communications such as liaising with financial institutions, service providers etc. related to administrative management.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.# k5 P9 r2 F4 N7 p

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.) d h- o4 F# H7 H- N6 @+ q' a

• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.: |8 } j* c$ }1 }8 q
6 Z& a @' w y E' u/ h• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.5 o2 Z5 R2 R6 o$ f

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.
