CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

9 E- X! }5 R- ^% w2 Y: r• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.( ^; @4 {( Q+ J

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain an organized filing system for office records, meeting minutes, government registrations and donor records; Process annual government and charitable registrations forms.8 Q4 M. N- ?( ]2 P
! r+ G% h. U1 V• Order and organize office supplies; Manage and maintain office systems and environment including policy and procedures manual and office operations manual.

• Manage office technology software licensing and hardware maintenance.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

• Support effective internal communication by recording and distributing all meeting minutes.8 a4 D) K s" {, N) y8 H

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.

0 e2 `$ E5 o3 d) [: u. y: U• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.

• Identify and maintain a current media list and database. File all media articles and press coverage of CFCA.

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Provide administrative support for public engagement events and mail outs.

• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.0 W9 ~, E* M# J7 d

: p8 Y2 g. P4 B2 w+ w, {( T• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions, R& G) E$ d6 l/ i9 G1 z" R. T
$ ^0 }( ^3 C- T8 Z2 c• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.6 q/ [! P7 Y3 Y3 Q# h4 C3 S
# |; q; `/ b! ?6 j( r• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.4 z. a- t8 D& k4 ~2 H( i0 ~. G

Skills and Qualifications: Education or work experience in office administration and experience with non-profit organizations an asset. Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development.+ j+ R7 \1 H Z
