CHANGE FOR CHILDREN ASSOCIATION (CFCA) is an Alberta-based, charity with 33 years of experience working for sustainable, community development in Latin America and Africa and providing a comprehensive global education program in Canada. CFCA is lead by a volunteer Board of Directors and a small, flat-structured core staff which includes: International Projects Program Manager, Education/Public Engagement Program Manager and Funds Development Program Manager. CFCA’s projects and programming are funded by private donors, government grants, foundations, fundraising events, and campaigns.

• Act as first point of contact for donors, partners, members, other stakeholders, and the general public.4 Z+ q8 _" V. a1 s9 `: }

• Complete data entry in various programs.

• Maintain organizational calendar of events, meeting coordination and up to date membership lists of committees and groups.

International Projects and Public Engagement/Communications:

• Maintain inventory of communication materials.! T/ m, f. z( E3 l/ L8 F
8 v; I5 W7 b- y( | P• Process volunteer applications, track volunteer hours, and assist with volunteer scheduling.. |5 V7 P" j# K4 l

• Support the management of requests for CFCA information and resources at public events.

• Compile information packages for fundraising and promotional purposes.

. f/ y0 Y: a2 w% M% L: z# t• Weekly out-of-office errands as required (get cheques signed by Board members, drop off grant applications, and pick up office supplies). These errands will require personal transport.1 C5 ]" g' u8 b- U4 h

• Provide logistical support for key fundraising events such as silent auctions/ z1 M# T* h% H! G9 a
* y! [( ~/ ^; d1 ^6 R' I• In conjunction with the Funds Development Program Manager, maintain donor database and ensure delivery of timely charitable receipts.; s. B5 J% q+ A; F

• Coordinate volunteers for some fundraising events such as Casino and annual sales events.

Excellent communication and administrative skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; strong administrative and computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook or Outlook Express; Willingness to train on other relevant software; Very strong teamwork and time-management skills; commitment to social justice and sustainable community development." _! n6 x; c2 o
