24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
( r" ]7 L) m1 p( k- I2 xThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
3 K6 v. {7 P& w: Y1 J* LEligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
3 q2 B& o' g4 g1 J/ m•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
% b& L/ k: U' ]: P•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
4 y/ n" R, \- ~4 g" i# ?1 `•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada

  c4 x% g* J# f9 {0 FThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
