4 [6 t0 K* {8 I' u* H# GThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
: R% |' R5 j) xEligibility Criteria
1 ?, ~6 B% M( C' d) DAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
7 p/ d' q5 d4 S/ p4 }( F0 U& ^" H•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
' g4 Z. G0 F  b- m•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
& d9 r; d, D0 }•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
