! ?- S& w  J- Z+ sTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
" p" _  m! i4 tEligibility Criteria
# `  s: @2 ^  Y; z% ?- Q! d# GAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
" U4 `! _; c2 }* {  x* y# s•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
' i6 a  [+ g2 X$ G# O) C4 |•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
  J! u, f+ Y& \5 D& k# _! o# E- t•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
7 ^' V  t5 Z/ GTime Commitment
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
