THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
1 g8 M7 z: a  z3 K! {+ XThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
Eligibility Criteria
2 o) H" t: j6 b+ P, gAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
2 x  e( P9 ^! E% i* p0 [7 w* ~•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
$ \: [5 c4 l% @+ J•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
1 j  o' M0 b: s+ b' b•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less

+ Q1 {8 y, [5 b8 P- y) M) k, ~•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop

•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning

# z% C1 b! @+ o5 r! o: QThe maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
