: y# r9 P: O. ~: yTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
2 o3 a4 m: z! ^* \6 sEligibility Criteria
, I9 D* V5 R5 q& U8 ]All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
# d  E, Z; [2 I' P1 O•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
7 Q. q# `; j2 X5 \3 q•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
7 P" U" _/ D! Q2 |, o9 f4 H# w& p# X. r•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
3 P2 ^8 Z+ C8 O' Q: p# y, O•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks
/ Z% @" g$ x% c* s, Y+ ~: B, R. O9 n•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
Time Commitment
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
