" W9 L8 F8 a  W  q- u: ]3 L" ]THE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
This fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
2 T, ]5 R: s# jEligibility Criteria
  d) [/ T( ^3 EAll potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
* k) G% `- H( j0 c; J' \/ ?3 E•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
9 j  Y3 O+ g" B9 @" p$ ]' @•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
" G5 b# d) O3 ^8 y+ i•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less

•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
& k- g" t* h3 J1 D" v•Lack access to professional networks
•Be motivated to participate and be open to learning
9 \5 W; l' d) }' U- m5 bTime Commitment
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
