+ ]# G$ |& G9 j- }0 M( XTHE EDMONTON REGION IMMIGRANT COUNCIL WOULD LIKE TO INVITE YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 24/4 MENTORSHIP PILOT PROGRAM:
24 HOURS OVER 4 MONTHS
" _% @# w" m" Q2 c# XThis fall, the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will be launching a mentorship pilot program, where we aim to match skilled immigrants with mentors in their occupations.
3 {  m) A+ t% e" OEligibility Criteria
All potential mentee candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
1 l0 {& C0 C* L•An internationally educated professional living in Canada for three years or less
% p) u, f( ]% t•Have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post secondary education
•Have Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 7 or higher in oral English
% D) j: o- g% N  t* b8 ~8 d•At least three years work experience in their area of expertise outside of Canada
•No prior Canadian work experience in their field
* v1 @1 e7 l" A3 t+ A•Be unemployed or underemployed – working for 20 hours a week or less
•Be eligible to work in Canada
•Have a job ready resume and have completed a job search workshop
•Lack access to professional networks

Time Commitment
The maximum number of hours involved in the ERIEC mentorship program is 6 hours a month for a total of 24 hours over 4 months.  This works out to approximately one and a half hours per week.
