2 y# b- j& W+ R0 n% i1 A, j8 | The Field Operator is responsible for monitoring production in field locations surrounding the Balzac Gas Plant facility (10 minutes north of the Calgary city limits; 30 km from the downtown core). This position works a 35 day shift rotation, which includes 12 hour days/nights and 9 hour training days. This role is bound by the terms of the Collective Agreement (Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Local 773).
, M; d" M7 C  P: O& dJob Duties/Responsibilities  
/ W" s# ]9 w" q% n: j0 t8 m -  Display competency with operations procedures checklists and critical procedures;
-  Provide day to day control of producing wells, pipelines and associated production equipment;
-  Make and carry out recommendations to maximize production, minimize operating costs and eliminate downtime;
) p+ }2 W5 q- v% }) F, q7 U-  Ensure all field related activities are completed safely, on schedule and in an environmentally safe and cost effective manner;
-  Comply with all EH&S, Corporate and Regulatory rules and procedures. Report any unacceptable conditions and incidents;
-  Work in a team-oriented atmosphere and contribute to the ongoing success of the Balzac Complex;

& o0 y' C4 c7 \2 C6 d Education/Experience  
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent in training and experience;
5 i9 Y1 e8 R0 U: q-  Minimum of 3 years' related experience operating sour gas wells, pipelines and compressors;
! r7 B4 ?: M7 k$ c8 O-  Current H2S Alive certification or equivalent;
) R$ n9 B2 X5 L; B9 L$ O: m2 p-  Dependable, organized and self motivated;
-  Strong initiative and problem solving skills;
; I- v: K8 F* k! n9 p4 a7 Q-  A willingness and ability to work in outdoor conditions.
