A school is a bigger community,  I don't think a gift matters to the director, I wouldn't send a gift to the director. (But you can still choose to send a gift to the director and show your appreciation). I will only send gifts to my daughter's Grade One teacher in charge, the music teacher and the French teacher.

I've done my most gift shopping, now I'm wrapping the gifts.

我有个好主意：送个沐浴或是护肤的套装，１０刀左右，装个漂亮的袋子里，实惠还好看。
我以前当老师时一个孩妈送过，觉得不错。

. b' g$ c* M0 j- G1 i一提这个我就头大！我还没开始准备呢。老大有学校，AFTRESCHOOL， 课外班儿（像滑冰，跳舞什么的）四波儿老师，老二有幼儿园老师和DIRECTOR，ASSISTANT两三波儿人。问题是老大的AFTERSCHOOL有6，7个STAFF，和DIRECTOR，每年我都跟个圣诞老人司的拎着大袋子到处跑。

GIFT IDEA有：巧克力，candy, MUG，圣诞树小挂件。工作特别多，之前要收集到所有老师的名字，还要包好，装好。 头大呀，头大！

me three. are you sure you'd send gift to everybody on this list? what is the rough budget? not sure how much to spend. too little looks cheap too much might make the teachers uncomfortable...

Some of the workplaces have the culture of exchanging gifts, you might receive  gifts from your co-workers, or your boss. -- some of my coworkers they send very little pack of chocolate so i guess i'll simply accept. my boss's? i'll simply accept :)

Close friends and/or their kids - not really this tradition in my world so everybody saves $ :)

People who invite you over f ... this one definitely, a bottle of nice wine would work. but you do it every time right ?:)

我儿子在的daycare，toddler room 有6个staff, 4 个floater, 加上1个director,另外的大点的班上有3个，这3个我经常看见，其中两个很喜欢我儿子，每次看到我会跟我聊会天。我儿子在TODDLER ROOM，其中4个我经常见到，另外两个可能因为工作时间问题，我基本没看到过。我经常见得4个都还挺nice 的。这是小朋友第一个在daycare 的圣诞节，我是完全没有idea. 请大家介绍一下经验。

+ I" m7 j. x9 l我不太记得那个店名了, 在KINGSWAY MALL 里面, 专门卖些工艺品, 还可以engrave一些东西, 比如在玻璃杯上ENGRAVE你的名字之内的. 好象是个连锁店, SOUTH GATE MALL也有．．你去肯定找的到．　这套瓷器有从一月到十二月的．　每个月的花型都不一样，　觉得当生日礼物送也不错．　包装也很漂亮．．关键还便宜．　嘿嘿．

太可怜了， 我看着都头大。 这幸亏是两个孩子，年龄还隔着远，能喘息一下，如果三个年龄相近的怎么办啊？？

我今年给老大的playschool 和 Head start program以及校车的司机等共准备了十几份礼物，基本上是果味的沐浴品和可以冲着喝的巧克力套装，都带包装的，因为我不愿意做包装的工作，呵呵，每份2刀，表达心意算了，是社区christmas sale的时候挑的。真的是感谢人家对孩子方方面面的照应，让孩子也知道感恩！！
