Position Title: Outreach Worker

Job Description
3 i5 Y! B5 O$ ]9 Z-        promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
-        promote Centre and ISP programs  in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
4 F6 y3 Q6 `: w$ U* Y! u( {; q% I-        develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
) r% n# S) h7 ?" E! s3 D( |' I-        recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
-        promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
-        outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
-        attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
% x9 X( y$ v- t6 ]' x: E-        adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
8 l/ T( V( }2 F& D3 g-        report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-        recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
-        assist with front counter services as needed and assigned
-        other duties as assigned

Qualifications
-        degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
# o/ Z3 R) i: P( [$ E-        knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
5 C$ q5 f' E% v4 B: i- ^-        good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
-        fluent in English and Chinese
-        good interpersonal and people skills
$ W* j+ c7 l1 p8 X, }7 M/ q- F-        valid driver’s license
