To qualify for an Alberta Qualification Certificate based on work experience, a person must:
# \/ k- l5 J* }" ^0 Y) E% z: S0 p9 [3 n6 W8 t& @
have at least 8,775 hours and 72 months of ‘hands-on’ work experience as an electrician
5 {; A1 G3 N% GTime spent on supervisory or foreman duties, counter work, heading the tool crib, or on a training course is NOT counted as ‘hands-on’ work experience.$ f. y0 n7 K0 T* n- N, u
; r- e. Z7 T/ R5 f! G L$ }1 Ncomplete the Qualification Certificate - Work Experience Application and submit it to an Apprenticeship and Industry Training Office8 @$ |( c3 e" U9 c

pay the non-refundable fees as identified on the application noted above
. f: w2 c" J" l0 Y. @This application fee covers the verification and assessment of the applicant's work experience hours/months as well as one attempt at the Qualification Certificate theory examination.
