Responsibilities:; g, k; Q9 n6 i7 C1 }: o0 _! G1 `
- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth# y. V! v" B" D( ~
- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
+ N% s9 q& j, ^" U! V" F- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
1 c, z Y! D" j# T- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs8 v8 ]; O5 V8 t6 E
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health2 w, z# l" |5 W

+ a9 Q) w5 |6 [; n$ e/ d, m8 _Key Qualifications:
7 F0 d$ v, F5 l0 @/ |1 l" U7 d- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
+ Q$ W( Y' m1 W7 C3 ^+ I6 D) M- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
0 r' q u, [. W/ M- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others" t4 |9 Y3 Z" [- B! c6 G' `
- Experience doing program development( E) m, y3 p2 _' ~1 q4 q
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
" e5 K; }0 V; v# e. v" ]- Self-directed and able to take initiative
/ K5 ^0 f. D# V- x' }- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset1 ]! N$ i! D D# U
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license) p8 t. U+ W+ W) n- r& a
