Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).

Responsibilities:
  J5 [0 E$ I( ~: A-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
! x+ O. H; s1 @" {1 Z/ t- B+ |-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
, q$ l! [" i  e- @. z& H-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

& g/ a8 _" \/ V5 n. DKey Qualifications:
-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
1 u- s  I" |# U. T5 d. c6 `0 G: g& X-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
8 P3 D9 E9 y+ u; @# E. v-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
$ ^! ]( l2 Y8 v- C-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license


Assets:
/ |/ ?7 x7 ]+ u0 ?2 p2 P-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
& `8 X/ r& \$ W" N-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
5 R# a, Q2 ]) S, C-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
-        Some evening and weekend work may be required

Other: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a police security check and child welfare check at their own expense.
