Terms: Full-time (35 hours per week).
Compensation: Based on experience & qualifications.

Responsibilities:
-        Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
-        Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
+ N% s9 q& j, ^" U! V" F-        Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
1 c, z  Y! D" j# T-        Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs
-        Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

7 F0 d$ v, F5 l0 @/ |1 l" U7 d-        Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
+ Q$ W( Y' m1 W7 C3 ^+ I6 D) M-        At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
0 r' q  u, [. W/ M-        Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others
-        Experience doing program development
-        Strong organizational and coordination skills
" e5 K; }0 V; v# e. v" ]-        Self-directed and able to take initiative
/ K5 ^0 f. D# V- x' }-        Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
-        Vehicle and valid drivers’ license


Assets:
-        Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
-        Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities
( p8 T/ N7 U/ S( e/ }. e-        An understanding of the relationship between addictions and mental health
-        Skills in marketing & promotions
