2 e: E$ ^2 n( k- t9 ?7 I- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
& ~% V* G- d) W% O+ s8 a' }- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling
' [. ^# n$ D; a- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups6 R4 a! _4 M( d9 v7 s
- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs2 o& x7 U4 X0 W0 G9 d
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

" o9 g$ @' w* ?4 D: \Key Qualifications:
: q& K, c, Y9 D" y% v- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences! \2 |* @; L- h+ ^3 @8 V
- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement
' V/ ~' l0 S% F- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others/ b9 N. Q$ W! d. x+ Y6 Y
- Experience doing program development+ F/ C9 \! {2 F/ y' G: F/ ]- X
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
: j7 C/ H1 E; P2 N6 Y6 h+ t. v1 q- Self-directed and able to take initiative
( y- p' y" D/ _7 ~ n- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset9 l$ S+ `4 a+ C4 f7 t& ~/ a! ~
- Vehicle and valid drivers’ license9 J) t( c9 D, o4 ]

- Experience conducting community needs assessments and program evaluation
( r! V) A" Q+ I9 _+ l8 G- Knowledge of and experience working with immigrant and refugee communities

- Some evening and weekend work may be required
