Responsibilities:
J5 [0 E$ I( ~: A- Design and deliver educational and preventative workshops about addictions to kids & youth
! x+ O. H; s1 @" {1 Z/ t- B+ |- Work with a team of actors to develop and deliver of a touring play about problem gambling6 J9 h |- H) @$ X2 ]5 I4 k
- Build and sustain relationships with schools, social service agencies and community groups
, q$ l! [" i e- @. z& H- Identify community needs and best practices in the area of addictions prevention and further develop the program to meet those needs8 Z$ [; I8 n3 u& S
- Complete regular reporting to Alberta Health Services – Addictions & Mental Health

& g/ a8 _" \/ V5 n. DKey Qualifications:" q# r5 x( B/ q+ I. _- U S8 G6 J
- Post secondary degree or diploma in social/human sciences
1 u- s I" |# U. T5 d. c6 `0 G: g& X- At least 2 years experience in the fields of addictions & mental health, education, health promotion, public health or youth engagement5 ^+ P. h# @# W
- Strong ability to work well with youth, community workers, teachers and others3 U. I; r" b5 a5 @. A- Z
- Experience doing program development
8 P3 D9 E9 y+ u; @# E. v- Strong organizational and coordination skills8 j( g! j2 Q: y! I. { o
- Self-directed and able to take initiative% [9 Y# ~# O0 X2 ^
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills; fluency in an Asian language is an asset
