Responsibilities
* k7 H6 @. c' K  OAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
Works co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
- G# H: M% g4 r# a0 tMaintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
% y; C* r8 J0 n7 \8 M( }# AMaintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
4 p% h# d. a7 b2 V8 Y1 e# yIs knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
Participates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
Qualifications
' F; R# }2 U6 h1 |- @5 e8 p. [& KMust have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
Must be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
3 Y& r$ L) z# ^# e5 }) B$ {Computer skills an asset.
9 x+ w0 _' p& N) s3 LAn energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
5 l! H" d4 `  YProficiency in a second language is an asset.
