7 f  @: p& v% T2 z1 X2 UAssists in the planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for the residents of the Extended Care Centre in collaboration with the Activation Manager.
/ b9 X  {: A$ H9 v1 b: NWorks co-operatively with the Activation Manager, facility volunteers, families and other staff members.
Maintains appropriate resident and department records including assessments, evaluations of planned programs detailing anticipated individual participation.
5 {5 z+ `& P  H7 ~1 }Maintains effective communication and good human relations with residents, families, volunteers and staff of other departments.
Is knowledgeable of the Resident Bill of Rights/Governing Principles and endeavors to promote it.
2 l$ B1 L/ T4 U8 K, rParticipates in team conferences to plan, develop and assess individual resident care plans.
Qualifications
Must have a community college recreation certificate or diploma or equivalent, as approved by the Activation Manager. Experience working with seniors, particularly in a long term care setting.
. s) T3 S) t+ }1 \: y4 w( b3 QMust be able to communicate in written and verbal form and maintain an acceptable standard of behaviour and appearance.
2 B4 y8 ~' w* b1 J. WComputer skills an asset.
/ B' t# V; c* U3 `! lAn energetic, compassionate person who enjoys working with the elderly and who possess excellent problem solving, planning and creative abilities.
