CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.2 B6 f) m9 y" \* [5 x R, D B

The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.1 t9 `) q) p3 G& I; X3 s* _% T
- t! E9 X2 E, PSuncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.$ W$ R1 o9 y0 n4 p0 J

According to Reuters, Suncor could not specify how much crude the unit was producing before the incident.
