CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.* v1 U* R# k0 V7 i$ _3 q* R( p
