CALGARY - A fire has halted operations at one of Suncor Energy's two oilsands upgraders north of Fort McMurray, the company said Tuesday.

) ]; m' s* \# E; y# U2 zNo one was hurt in the incident which happened after a fire broke out around midnight at its upgrader #1, Suncor said.$ T: B/ U i2 w0 K1 n# M
2 S$ }4 [ f. ^; Q3 V$ D6 m7 `The energy giant said the 125,000-barrel-per-day unit was shut down after the fire, and it is currently assessing damage.

Suncor has been plagued by a series fires at its oilsands operations in the past five months, suffering three fires since October in the upgraders which convert bitumen into synthetic crude oil.* v1 U* R# k0 V7 i$ _3 q* R( p
