Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:" Q) v/ {! C% c
After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again. , P+ b$ n6 U1 t' R" T
It is a cycle. @- P! l9 a' p4 b

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.
# E$ q ^8 A; u; z3 m: s) I. W( hSwap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
3 Y9 F' L C9 d, H" N& KThe problem should be inside the bucket.! G; k( Q$ S' t5 y% y

Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
# {/ Q* H2 ~& _+ `. U9 ]Confirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same.! w4 z; G) R( A0 u
H( w# D6 `2 W/ O% B& C1 t2 GThe next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.
% p" Z" o9 z2 N$ q3 H9 b9 }) s: d( sThey have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.3 w$ I0 T3 c/ L y" x
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.

The coil should be the problem, we ordered two of them. But it will take 5-6 weeks for us to get them.
