Two cutler –hammer advantage starters are doing the same thing:
! j- U' L' M5 u4 R5 e; S9 V After start 2-3 times, they will quit working, if you toggle the start and stop buttons on DCS screen , you will get another 2-3 running before they quit working again.

We isolate the network control and use the local start and stop only, the problem remains.7 u: W! F! J% p3 n) C
Swap one of the defective buckets with a good one, the new bucket works fine.
$ z A/ _/ p6 v' |: P2 s/ v/ YThe problem should be inside the bucket.1 ~* C4 N5 L. g9 y

Use a terminating screw divers to push in the contactor, it will not seal either.
; O/ s- K4 N- u p8 lConfirm with TECH support this should be a problem with the control circuit board inside the advantage starter, we bought two new control circuit boards and replaced the old ones, the problem is still the same./ z* y. b. O% ]

The next thing we can think of is the coil, we took the coil out to have a close look.+ ~' w4 v& S* _. f1 u
They have a fork to pinch inside the two leads to make connection, it is not a good design at all. We soldered the connection and tried again.) V( g+ G& C/ e O5 G$ s
It is getting better this time, we have 7-8 times of running before it quit working.
