Children’s Summer Program Assistant, 2010

Responsibilities:
$ K/ e2 p/ b; i-        Support the Summer Children’s Program Coordinator in the preparation and implementation of the Summer Camps
4 D( Q- l4 l9 K. I6 s" I8 r-        Assist with facilitating the summer children’s program
, h8 ~( W  {. s-        Assist with preparing final report for funding agencies
1 {8 `# k( f  Q, Q. T! T9 Q-        Act according to the guidance or direction of the Summer Program Coordinator
' |$ p, P5 \) c, ]# d2 s- B6 U-        Assist with any other program related tasks as assigned by the Senior Program Manager

8 i, q( b+ `7 ?+ N4 zQualifications:
+ Z5 z) M8 ~2 [8 U-        Post secondary student in Education, Physical Education and Recreation, Early Childhood Development, or equivalent of experience and education
-        Should have some experience planning and delivering recreation programs to children
-        Good coordinating, communicating and interpersonal skills
-        Must enjoy sports and other athletic activities
( e* L: i( A( p/ m5 [* O! p# `$ i-        Fluency in English and Chinese or Cantonese
-        Demonstrate strong leadership abilities
& p; N2 x; Q0 P* n6 A+ z8 Q9 X, I-        Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
-        Must be a returning student to a post-secondary institute in Fall 2010
-        Successful applicants must undergo security and child welfare check at own expense

$ K1 D0 @1 X8 ^-        Hours of work: Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm (30 hours/week) in May and June (planning) and 8:30am to 4:30pm (40 hours/week) in July and August(summer camps)
