; B! f- C: W7 s! H9 e- H: ZThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers' w8 Q) K6 @ \& c
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution 9 |+ H7 t5 q A2 \
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
& V% U/ i3 p7 [2 ?8 L! o4 }§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times

$ }; g0 G, w5 c* l2 L§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert. y/ L- d7 u+ @& g1 f+ J4 C
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties" t4 G4 j" B6 I% ^' y$ |1 g; L
§ Special projects as required

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience1 K) k+ P, ]1 R

§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

/ y8 D' d3 ]% T: hThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). . I* k3 v& h/ E: F3 g

§ Manage and coach staff in IT group

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives: L- z; y: h9 u
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports

§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to8 ]7 A: d, J+ c( X3 K& @. n0 Y& [
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times6 Z }+ S$ K" j
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access/ D E N) ^) n* R* b8 ?6 V* |4 N* P
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
1 F' y& O# k" C4 F§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan

§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Coordinate and support end user training
