The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting./ `$ }* R$ m& \, C* l# Z

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
# P5 s- D* g# W' h2 w: H. L7 K§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution % [. D! m$ \: X. q5 u
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation9 e5 D0 A, E% B* e1 y: n5 \+ v/ T4 M
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
' r5 c9 _) P1 ^( j0 e$ {* I- [! v% J§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
) p/ U  N8 v, Y4 Q2 V§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
) G3 V* K) l. P) k/ |§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls. A/ L$ Z1 s3 }  z7 g

Qualifications:+ h% e6 g6 Z5 M  [- X% b
§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
6 J0 K. ^( b% d§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision% G( X$ g$ A! e
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service+ L  B& K  P* U$ ^" o2 o, {
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
$ }6 }4 m" o' h* b' _- }§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
4 d, p$ o. S- {6 I3 P3 p§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software3 i. x- V% a0 n! I  D) Q
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems2 O' W: L7 |% e- U. _4 ^+ N; P2 Z" T( F

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

" [/ h, A% G1 z7 ^# c3 F§ Manage and coach staff in IT group

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
/ g1 M. P1 c0 z: H  _( t0 p§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports9 l1 X, i" s8 I$ D& w" T
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
9 s- e3 M0 l# s+ g; H5 g§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to- k5 W. C! R% b
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
; F4 y- r2 f. R9 x§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access8 i# }9 H) U9 f! f# b
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
# j8 u# y, {- W§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan0 }: g8 w! l/ G# o2 M
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk& `# |$ f( F( r
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

* q& {! \. B4 R5 u§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance( S# Z1 j7 ~- |' n% n' s
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT8 \6 \- {3 Q) B9 h4 ~9 I  v9 x
§ Coordinate and support end user training; i$ V5 ]0 w; N' i2 w
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers/ I$ \& x& N% U3 f  h+ |. ~6 D/ y
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance! L" l7 z' K# H! P3 v5 A
§ Manage all printers in the building

: X5 a; Y: t- l在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
