The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
8 R6 Z+ l. p8 d7 ]) I( @5 s§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
4 T! w, s- `& w" j; [9 f) Z§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
3 ^- o' k* [8 O* q" h# q§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
: N$ r0 P" a0 i% `! D$ c§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
9 S5 d# U- g) C: d§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
9 S: O6 n: r4 @6 T5 A- v" d§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

Qualifications:! o8 ?$ J' M4 H1 N
§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience+ n& [( L- x( d; k
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
* d" a# }) F) ?, L9 y( h§ Fundamental commitment to customer service: Q; I" S2 I$ }' P) c) a
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
5 }+ a9 x+ V" \: Q; C' |§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware1 R2 h1 b8 T* ^$ f" V: g9 e
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software

Position Summary:
! l3 R; r) a/ m: _The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). 6 J8 d b7 H, F' L- F m

§ Manage a stable local IT environment

§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
% {! y# M& h4 n7 `1 r§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports K, a: c* a2 K4 O# j+ Q" f: h6 j
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation, X! p7 T7 Y" `; l( N$ ^/ s
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
' ?' a/ \- t) y. U; [§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
) L, N1 D3 F8 ~$ N- ~§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access% ]* S5 _$ y8 m3 ]
§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
6 N+ N Q7 w2 a2 _- k1 k& e§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
$ Y( h( x* L8 E5 A§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk' E9 b# N4 Q0 n& k( U
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
