Position Summary:
: b( X- W  p  o! A5 n( E' dThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers. f/ Q; f) ]1 T. X
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution + [; N) Q4 L% C+ }8 v
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
9 x/ _7 j+ v% S2 r2 P§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
1 A( V! F: [( B, I§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
1 t. g* c) Z  D& [: m% `§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert& Y# R9 d1 W; m, q7 Q2 Z
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties6 f. k$ [+ i, H9 m& W1 t
§ Special projects as required

Qualifications:
) C! M' }0 D# ^5 J- u9 [§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
. {$ l0 ?! M; v; H/ r( \* W§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision% Y  `. B- c8 [) v, P
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service; j5 V' R) c( Z6 P: p
§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues4 G: N8 v: M- p; W5 ?" z' l
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
" L. R' W9 _! h5 s6 T§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software( y( j9 l( R- x! c" w% C8 D  a! N& T
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto). 2 V+ s, B. }* W7 i/ A

, g3 o5 F& Y& s# m§ Manage a stable local IT environment 5 H8 @: `0 W- h; \% a3 G" M" H/ E
§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
/ ~4 _9 a  \9 \) b* u§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support9 x7 S' B3 f' |* ^+ j* S5 S, g
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
3 K8 I4 @4 G7 b# c) I' j4 e7 U% a) B§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
& y# m) z+ Z/ J! S" q* p) r& X) @§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation% u& `- [8 z6 i/ p
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
) _( X/ e! p$ T' y§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
+ ~) ?1 g' i6 K+ P( g. G' O1 V- ^§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
& G- f* f% L$ u$ U0 @0 d§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
' v3 ^1 o7 n2 z& O) b) ^8 J§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan2 {$ N  c( G! j, C
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
# s, O6 U: \) }§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert& |" H8 B$ k0 H( R6 ]  J
§ Provide technical and procedural recommendations to management
( c7 w$ M2 h/ H2 W2 V1 \4 a5 w§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance
; f6 T& H% x1 ^0 _- M§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
0 g" M, I- o3 h* _§ Coordinate and support end user training- z$ K7 S  B1 Y: R/ x) ~8 ~
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers- v, `# z1 C. z! t2 P  N
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance0 P. V" W- N7 J8 A6 A: X
§ Manage all printers in the building# O" o; q, ]2 e" V

# Z8 C# I8 o7 }5 t在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
