The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
5 d+ v6 G2 Q6 p§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution
; x! F) T2 Z0 e9 Q. `( @§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
' X* M6 y" ~+ K* |: Y& C§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times) g4 b! M5 I6 _9 a: J3 s1 f( ~
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk- O) L/ B# g- i2 B( Y2 w5 i
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert
% S4 g1 g  v2 ?  X" b+ S8 u& D3 d- t§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties

Qualifications:. E, v' e$ f9 Z7 o  K; f
§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
% R0 g5 v- C* Q1 M§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
: R9 b5 [- F3 h$ c, p$ e' B§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
. U& k  r# q8 w. B, {+ e2 V§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues4 ^' `8 x* r( @7 t+ P2 N- w& z
§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware7 a0 N7 {1 i; b; D. {! S
§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software2 Z* i4 x2 c6 P2 l  B% K
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems2 g* ~$ l3 |  W+ a, v) f

Position Summary:

LThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

Responsibilities:( D+ V0 B$ J, V9 e8 n# }$ x, U
§ Manage a stable local IT environment
! f8 l! A& K( n, F§ Manage and coach staff in IT group
0 F3 c0 z& b( ]# o% Y§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support8 w* g. n! J. {- Z3 }
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives$ h  K5 x- V1 p, j* s$ m+ k
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports5 a# h" j! M9 K$ ]
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation: Y7 z2 O3 J5 g# G
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to7 l" m+ f9 O, o0 L
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
  W6 T1 p; }" m8 g+ u: \§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
9 K4 U3 L1 [; o/ i8 k2 f§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures
+ i1 O  b& P2 j( h) W8 e1 c§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan0 ~- V4 o7 A+ r7 |. j7 V% C1 S9 T
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk' z1 G( c1 ?! j
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

+ w, O$ c9 j6 J2 T. A* o  f7 W§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance! L2 R* _" O9 s
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT
5 n& g5 p/ s6 q. i- Q* H3 a§ Coordinate and support end user training4 [9 C4 d( K5 [4 {) F* n9 t# B+ T( x
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
