The IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.9 r  A4 F& Q4 O$ G

§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers
& P3 \  m* ]2 j- E0 {& ]# l* W: W§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution 2 Z- @; h* t) J$ ?8 c5 q
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation
$ B5 O5 p! P9 ^7 M. q: W0 d0 S  W§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times7 d  t, B0 ^' N4 n
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
% \& R  x( m7 b9 N3 m§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert4 w$ e/ g) O4 B' F5 T$ N; f% d2 Y
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties
6 ~6 S/ k% G& T( W! a§ Special projects as required

: J7 n6 D) R4 K9 N0 ]! Q§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience4 |# t, @/ O' A0 x
§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision
9 _* g$ R: e, ]' B6 N§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
$ D; g, {6 n$ H§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
) R' m9 }2 D$ A§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
5 H' O. X+ k* t' p§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software! ~  I& ?# I! s5 g
§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems) l* M1 f% {5 B7 U7 d6 |

The IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).

Responsibilities:

§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support% f# K: ~8 t- d
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives
- E1 ?1 \. j% b+ D1 S2 y§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports
5 Y0 L' a& Y/ ~  i! ^§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation
. K7 h# m" O/ q7 |§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to
/ r( @. L# t  s7 E& l' A§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times8 n$ t2 v5 K- K8 u0 U
§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
4 W$ A( _7 r+ ?§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures5 A& O: H+ f0 f, q% N, D) h
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan. t  |. j% S2 o7 j
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
' g& Z2 t6 L) g6 H9 N  @  a( G( e§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Manage user ID request and approval process in conjunction with Director of Finance: V! B: K0 }6 U3 H
§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT5 {9 H- ?. c5 \( j4 b
§ Coordinate and support end user training
7 `; U3 y  B2 U0 L§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers! Y; {) [/ j- s
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance
7 N2 `2 e% w$ E' D§ Manage all printers in the building

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.0 E3 P$ ?. V' U( _

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
