Position: IT Small Systems Specialist

' c8 d# W$ @1 d/ d+ x7 eThe IT Small Systems Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day technical support for SYSCO Edmonton. Responsibilities will include equipment management and support, basic network support and troubleshooting.+ p+ \8 l2 b, h4 {3 ~6 Q

Responsibilities:
: @  b/ z7 i! M, g5 g9 B& Y§ Provide high level of customer service to internal customers3 Q8 s, d8 Y1 f6 p
§ Provide small systems technical support; troubleshoot problems and either resolve them independently or coordinate third party involvement in resolution ) s* n: R0 T8 w3 f1 [
§ Hardware and software installation, configuration and implementation% L" ~% q8 Z& C8 ?7 n
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times/ J$ P! `2 T" {4 R9 H6 B
§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk
4 y. o4 C; C! {§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert+ O3 |5 h8 [2 ~  @
§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external parties+ J( @1 J; H7 Z9 V7 A4 a' u0 o
§ Special projects as required
$ F9 Z' r+ U1 l, e# V§ May be required to provide after hours pager support for emergency trouble calls( P% G/ L0 T2 K5 q& V  h8 ]! W$ j( j/ n

: \9 L. O; ~, Z, J§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 2 years of related work experience
* Z1 w+ e3 ]2 \4 `0 n: M- U: F2 a§ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others and work under minimal supervision" e( j! h$ G$ [! T
§ Fundamental commitment to customer service
; X' W! z, _7 ]. O1 Q§ Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work on multiple issues
1 O2 n$ C( U' J) `1 N% s' J$ G0 t§ Proven knowledge of Dell, IBM, Xerox and Lexmark hardware
# r; O$ Q3 S/ Y" S2 e§ Experience installing, supporting and troubleshooting client desktop software
4 u* u; c4 Y7 t6 q8 P4 z' v/ [§ Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, install and support computer users with Windows 98/NT/2000/XP in a domain environment, Ethernet, TCP/IP, routers, switches, concentrators, Network Management tools (e.g. virus protection, server monitoring) and with Xerox and /or Lexmark printer problems& q+ Y8 g. Position Summary:
% }8 o0 G$ I0 q6 HThe IT Manager will provide hands on management of all aspects of the local IT operations for SYSCO Edmonton - managing the information systems on a cost effective basis while ensuring user demands are met. This person will work closely with the SYSCO Canada Corporate IT group (located in Calgary and Toronto).
) ?6 S  P: h! d" z/ ^0 m" N+ U! m

§ Manage a stable local IT environment
- C2 ?' v/ q/ O" `( K" X§ Manage and coach staff in IT group) U( a8 [$ C7 A( _9 F! |
§ Oversee and provide small systems technical support. p0 ^1 y! y( I8 S! J3 _& a
§ Reporting to the Director of Finance and management on a monthly basis on status of IT projects and initiatives# C( o  h4 h% d, n8 f+ K+ U* ?
§ Work with auditors (internal and external) – respond to requests, prepare response to audit reports0 S* @# o" G2 Z) U* ~
§ Hardware and software configuration and implementation' X, V% H& t( M0 c) a/ G- E
§ Manage and track all technology assets including ensuring that all software licenses are documented and adhered to5 }8 L7 U% ^( e& C0 X" F3 {. B
§ Ensure software and hardware standards and other policies are adhered to at all times
) F. p  L7 o* @3 l0 l! Z6 y, J9 F§ Perform network administration at the domain level; managing user accounts and network access
6 ]- t5 s0 Z3 Y& E  w& X7 `§ Develop and maintain backup and restoration procedures3 F$ ~* i0 R* z8 v. ~
§ Develop and track IT budget as well as IT capital spending plan
7 I- ?5 `( X9 p) W/ W5 d§ Liaise with Corporate IT Helpdesk1 Y4 O8 c- F  t2 x$ N' Y
§ Become familiar with in-house software applications (AS/400, EXE/warehouse management system, SOS, VRFS, Impromptu, Lotus Notes & others) with goal of becoming in-house expert

§ Implementation and support of small systems technology initiatives in conjunction with SYSCO Canada IT. E+ N4 w" d/ r3 J. o
§ Coordinate and support end user training
5 w2 m: X2 ]) c. u( i8 Q§ Develop and maintain good working relationships with IT related suppliers and service providers: v( J5 C- H0 L8 t% k
§ Collaboration on development of internal intranet and external website maintenance4 H& ?& M6 R# {0 o, s+ _

§ University or College degree in Computer Science and at least 5 years related work experience

呵呵,不是manager 就是administration.

在国内应征的话还敢。在这里既没加拿大经验,英语也不好,想都不去想这些位置啊。
