( W$ y$ S. o/ t• Providing leadership, general supervision, management and control of the operations of 2 p/ N6 `# W. [0 {. b+ i- V
the YWCA on a day-to-day basis in accordance with the plans and policies approved by

• Reporting to the board on a timely basis all relevant information regarding operations
% o- ?. k+ a: a/ b& z. H. D9 L2 Zincluding financial, policy and personnel issues and provides information necessary to k- N9 u( E! N. E- s: a% c
enable the Board to exercise their responsibilities; ; N# S( q: k& S9 H- U) `
• Contributing to the development and achievement of the 1 -3 year operational plan and + ]2 T9 ?5 T6 o- k4 D. f0 _& J
objectives ensuring that the plan is consistent with the strategic directions established by , ?* I, O/ Y/ t" n
the board; / O. N( O9 }# S" H& K d
• Developing and executing the annual operational and capital budget; ; |( [' e) ?/ w9 j) z8 ?; w
• Nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and community organizations to champion 7 Q9 e! Y, L2 f/ h9 W, z
the development, implementation and successful execution of YWCA service offerings;
3 W' f* f; U0 H8 \• Reviewing existing policies and programs to recommend new or revise to meet the ; M. f6 S, c6 z! Q( e
changing needs of the organization and community;
5 a8 o& k* \7 ~• Identifying, qualifying and initiating opportunities to meet the current and growth revenue

• Overseeing contract negotiation with various stakeholders; 2 n8 B) w7 F7 j
• Fostering an environment of fair treatment of employees and volunteers through effective
1 h6 N$ O: n6 Aselection, development, motivation, retention and appraisal systems; 9 g- R2 B7 M" L9 \2 y, ]& A( u# A5 Q
• Encouraging the development of high-performance team members motivated to succeed; 1 {8 s( j; P0 W8 I0 O
• Enhancing the public imagine and working relationship within our community to

; w7 l2 i! U# P' P! c4 b• Identifying the YWCA’s principle risks, reviewing those risks with the Board, and ensuring

• Establishing, in conjunction with the Board Chair and Board, an annual list of personal
+ i) U } q/ v, ]5 Wperformance objectives (within the context of the strategic plan) to be achieved by the ED
9 h6 }6 T7 Q/ G% t0 t! N8 }, Sthe forthcoming year;
3 e% ^3 n- `2 c" M o, v• Conducting affairs of the YWCA in accordance with the commonly accepted ethical
/ ^) e6 t! t" _practices, consistent with the YWCA Vision, Mission and Values and the policies of

Required Professional Designation / Certification
+ l1 ^! S( e! W• Post secondary degree or equivalent experience. # K: c0 N5 P* f: S) C# P

• Minimum of 10 years experience managing multi-service non-profit organizations; . F, d2 I2 \/ f. n: S
• Strong knowledge of government contracts and demonstrated negotiation

% j+ g* E7 V: a' D• Exceptional interpersonal skills including knowledge of Public Relations,
5 k7 T/ P% F: T! FNetworking and Fundraising;
. e1 E! L9 @/ {7 E( u& s# z/ \• Strong business acumen and familiarity with risk management, budgeting, forecasting
