Recruit Participants

+ u$ V. U2 e0 @+ Q4 K( Q-        facilitate recruitment of participants for the Keshotu Leadership Academy
: k0 r4 [2 K* d7 ^( ?% Y-        conduct interviews to ensure participants have necessary qualities

Organize Leadership Training Sessions
2 e# i( W  S7 v# q$ u-        locate an appropriate venue for weekly meetings
-        set up a plan for the span of the project (Jan 08 – Dec 08) for weekly meetings
/ B4 z$ x. R1 P  ]" f-        use project proposal to ensure time is spent with all identified areas

, g( e+ u$ i+ C6 c$ C* V2 UPlan and Facilitate identified public events
7 e3 ?( K3 g. f8 @. W4 s-        with youth participants

( A1 c# i3 y7 F' T- u3 n8 \Media coverage
-        work with media consultant to ensure good coverage of project

Networking
-        attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate
9 d6 H0 p/ K3 A, Q5 ~-        create and maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations
! V8 }& y! \: w6 ^: w4 R
Professional Development
% f, G1 _; H, G' T6 X6 x# w- K-        Be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.

4 G* J8 Q$ T6 k' GProposal Creation
-        With program manager, create proposals to continue funding of this project.
. c6 [- q+ N1 [) T7 q$ x. S' h-        Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators

+ l# H0 a8 d" j$ w0 W& Z6 hReports to Funders and Program Manager
-        submit quarterly reports to program manager and timely reports according to requirements of each funder
! l3 I0 Q" g$ m" F9 w+ b2 a& P
" R" h4 C5 M' \7 X, A, T9 rProject Evaluation
-        work with external evaluation consultant to collect appropriate data for evaluation
5 [: U0 J* i& `# s9 `-        include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model

Qualifications for this Position
  t: j& n1 I3 X6 {1 j
-        excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society
-        demonstrated leadership abilities with youth
-        experience with project coordination
5 J4 B( \& n6 ?6 U5 Z0 y: ]-        degree or diploma in human services field
7 _( G8 w/ ^9 [. h4 i& Q-        developed knowledge and skills in one or more performing arts
