MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.* ~" h) h/ `$ t- ]6 Z$ _

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:' f+ i4 l- U5 N% `( h
 Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects. G7 P$ V* T: _4 ?& L) E# p( y
 Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
1 u3 v9 k% D4 Z6 H5 | Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
8 U/ z( d: r$ }& \" Z Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients3 H0 z" ]2 Q s! z
# \" ~) i0 w8 \' t/ p* q* Y, gQUALIFICATIONS: 3 j2 E, M% l3 M& f) } o' x
• Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
# g, l' ^+ _; i1 K' U• Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings) ?9 E T' |9 N* {" E
• Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
! Y0 W; g, s( n$ D• Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset. t9 Q8 H( ~4 S9 Y2 t
• Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
8 r4 M" W( U6 P• Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects3 V0 L, t5 m2 A6 t! d" s
• Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
7 [3 q& }5 L9 z; t) V4 L7 O- x) q• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
