Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

% c" u5 q# V  F' z1 xKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
        Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
) y" [2 D1 _* c( }$ [        Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
, K0 p0 x/ |% v% I* s* v4 m% D        Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
        Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
•        Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
0 ^1 J0 O; b/ I% e. f2 f3 K5 q•        Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for    residential or commercial buildings
•        Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
# U6 s9 k$ w& i5 N+ D/ d1 S•        Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
2 N% g/ D. n" ]# e9 k! m& j•        Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
7 S1 s  [* y7 B% F3 r•        Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
•        Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
6 Y7 q$ u0 q; Y# j2 K- ?8 j2 i& I•        Ability to communicate with all levels of management
•        Ability to work independently as well as in a team
