MECHANICAL DESIGNER(HVAC)

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.; ?$ a; H; d6 S" }

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:8 H! N2 l! G: R1 K9 D
 Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects8 t7 d- [, a1 q# c3 R7 P1 \
 Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
- b7 c, S; C$ ]( n Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
5 ?1 z; I. t6 B; ] Make sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

& X! U6 P6 T: }; ^6 [. mQUALIFICATIONS: ( V& _* o. A- }5 l- r4 c- |
• Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
) ~2 a5 c, S9 x# Y• Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
% N. c% m! Y# B: k" g! B3 H• Minimum 5 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman L; _" k; ]0 A1 k" v
• Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
: j' {7 {+ j3 W8 i7 }• Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process: A+ g# ^2 @) O
• Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects0 E1 ?: O9 c, G1 W6 ^
• Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
1 W! x, t! z6 u7 v# {, _ Z0 v8 [• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
