SALES CLERKS
Job Purpose
Every full or part time sales clerk is responsible for the proper and efficient
operation of his or her shift, within company policy in such a manner as to ensure
that the shift contributes to the increased profitability of the store while serving
4 H9 [/ Q4 B2 ~9 X9 [. ]  _+ L0 Scustomers with exceptional customer service. All sales clerks report directly to
) j1 ~/ R1 R) l3 tthe Store Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
7 V7 {- T  V4 u# wCustomer Service
• Provide all customers with prompt and courteous service
" u2 Z7 H+ F* K/ I  z* r, ^" `• Assist customers find what they are looking for
. k/ G/ b  n" R7 d- V$ F• Receive and fill orders for clubs, restaurants, and hotels as required
1 O1 d1 l* j/ n2 n+ W( }, G) T• Make every effort to find merchandise for customers if an item is not in
stock
7 O( @# m$ f/ Y+ I6 {+ ]1 T• Screen for intoxication and check identification for any customer who
% b8 C& X7 O8 k* i$ M" I; Tlooks under 25 years of age
1 `8 A% N* D- aStore Responsibilities
8 `6 I" w0 D/ x7 a" ?• Operate point of sale terminal to make sales and look up products
• Stock shelves in accordance with company merchandising standards
• Assist in receiving and storing merchandise
9 f( C) H) H; n• Keep the store, stockroom and restrooms clean
, B$ W. `0 z9 F! M) x2 l6 C• Help monitor inventory levels – item counts at tills and hourly counts
3 C% ^# d2 e6 g• Protect company assets at all times
• Close the store (key holders)
• Other tasks as assigned by Store or Assistant Manager
Qualifications
2 \: c6 l$ A, j• High School graduate
/ m5 }- v. V: k1 K• Criminal record check.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
3 S6 n" G% L, p8 S' ~0 }  H$ D, \• Good problem solving skills
. U6 b  h2 i+ k  u. e1 K$ y. S6 }• Ability to adapt quickly and react positively to business needs and
changes in strategies
Working Conditions
• Fast paced environment
3 R8 R  b) P$ T9 @8 D/ }• Demanding workload
Physical Requirements
• Available for shift work Sunday – Saturdays, days and evenings
$ J/ F) Y0 ?! q. {, l: ^8 G5 T• Able to safely lift boxes up to 50 pounds
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Comfortable climbing ladders
