- d7 r' ]2 k; Q6 p8 QEssential Qualifications: excellent knowledge of the issue of racism in Canadian society; experience facilitating educational sessions using participatory techniques; demonstrated leadership abilities with youth; experience with project coordination; degree or diploma in human services field. Preferred: knowledge of immigrant or Aboriginal culture and/or language; experience with functioning of non-profit society.; h* A6 H4 ^) E: t' K: O
( C$ R4 X/ }, K; A* hUnder the direction of the Program Manager you will:

9 y( Z: j8 H0 W1 F* f2 iRecruit Volunteers – facilitate on-going recruitment of volunteers to participate in the core group of PA; this is done by inviting members of groups who are being presented to, making contact with other youth groups, and by print media, broadcast media, and e-mail invitations.; g- v5 _" d, l( t: e" e: Z& p
) U. s: {8 v5 a8 z; w9 L; bTraining – facilitate weekly meetings of core group volunteers. Training in participatory techniques, presentation techniques, and knowledge of race-related issues.

0 p6 w8 y: R- p* f% L- y% HOrganize Presentations – advertise presentations through distribution of brochures and posters and by contacting interested groups and schools by phone, email, and mail; take requests for presentations, set up dates, and ensure adequate volunteers are present to facilitate discussion.

Networking – attend meetings relevant to organizational mandate; create/maintain relationships with community groups, individuals, institutions that are interested in race relations.

& O; [& d% ]; x* `3 Z5 sProfessional Development – be informed on current issues on race relations and other areas relevant to the position.( Y; b) }% I7 i# j
8 `+ P3 q. M; Z2 ?8 T& VProposal Creation – with program manager, create proposals to all funders of this project. Ensure criteria for each funder is met in each proposal. Also with program manager, create a logic model for each project with activities; short, medium, and long term outcomes; and indicators.

Project Evaluation & Reports – submit timely monthly, quarterly, annual reports and include in all interim and final reports, outcome measures using indicators from logic model.
