4 s" S7 [+ E! rKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
0 v* S! L( d. Q6 h( _* ?2 \ Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
5 E  t2 L0 M* Y( X! x8 V Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
! l% ~/ f9 j1 f Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
+ c$ e! G) }6 ^% f Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
! q2 Z6 i% E- G/ C Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
2 _8 g! P$ b* E. G  s Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
+ a5 ?( p7 Q! ]1 b5 n; ]% ?5 M Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

; y5 A4 v4 k' D& F- ^" V$ \8 g8 ^This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
