8 g: ?# {' n2 l! M9 \6 ~ Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
, Q6 y  B+ l# N5 v" O6 }7 D Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
" ]- J& y) [6 N$ |! L, o7 m9 F* Z# O% r Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
) j! C! A3 _: m1 d" J Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
$ e" s) @3 x5 o Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:
, x6 u) x! f# @, F' X
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
4 S8 g: N6 M$ y! d2 i4 q3 e Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
6 f$ T. G. p* u2 Q* t  t7 i Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
2 D- {1 X( t8 G Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

8 ?+ b0 @! I4 D" e( c9 h% tThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
2 |' e9 O7 p3 \8 T- s1 S+ b1 V, r2 q& a; ostarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
