Key Responsibilities & Duties:
& Q. \. b. E. V6 u- i0 z: _5 m
 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
4 ~5 \7 P! M8 K0 H Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
( k) ~: T( }; V- } Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
7 N* k7 ]$ z( b! a, P$ i0 q Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
1 H3 M; ~8 ]# `  k  E7 \9 \ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
/ Q( I/ h3 p3 X: e! ^! R! X1 e/ D Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
- V  k5 A4 J' O Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
$ E* r  K) g& j Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
3 T, F. b) A; d* T Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
9 y- j) q5 h5 |+ wThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
8 O, \2 Q5 V6 L( C/ ^7 s+ j4 ^starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
