- q$ I# j/ _4 W; T* H, c6 S Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
! N6 k' Y, ^: ^3 J Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
) o3 ^; O2 r# Q6 Q$ s Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

6 j: Q4 u& L& ]9 G, X Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
$ g) u+ v( m v) ^7 D% z Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.8 j4 E' e: \' i( ^ n9 {# g
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
# ]2 o& U/ l3 @; A! _9 r8 j+ x- j Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.' K' X( W9 K( ^/ J7 C" D* o
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.2 H: F7 Z) Z3 R p9 O, _: ?
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.# t8 w7 C8 I9 k- U
 Knowledge of community resources.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
