3 a& w7 X2 D  `; mKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
- T# Y; a0 s3 c6 T Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
. C$ i) u+ f4 B& R( |5 r  N& M Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
0 ]  c1 {' F$ ^) H) \ Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

Qualifications:
) B: }# s" a" C# `' m, o4 E
# S! {  H# M2 J9 \2 {! C7 p6 e Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
7 F+ x0 A3 c- h7 a Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
2 ?8 `. T+ x# Q, w+ W Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
* Q+ e7 p1 H4 |* T; ] Knowledge of community resources.
: e* z1 F/ R" j+ N  f Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
) v7 V% v# W3 y+ S Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

& P- w) o& c$ _* }+ j1 a* V- XPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
! ^( `( a* }$ U$ M/ Vstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
