 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
$ w8 B) v. S/ N2 W: m9 M$ b Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
: v1 X; _" i- K( I# W8 B Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
+ l4 r" f' C! F  ~7 C4 ^ Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
/ P4 X, w& x: y8 M$ m Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:
% ~$ r- `" X4 @5 }! T" l0 u
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
& g( e6 m/ W4 a# h Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
  n/ o0 t$ ?* w) p Knowledge of community resources.
7 O$ z& N. }2 u* u* B8 l Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
5 D$ f$ Z6 D# A* }3 x) dThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
& t# U, f/ b# B2 S4 d, B5 Jstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
