• Process research equipment design;1 }( g5 K8 z6 M3 Z. F
• Pilot plant design with other professional engineers;
) b. S! {# V# b! b+ u Q7 Q• Equipment fabrication guidance;+ B1 T4 S5 e6 z7 r% L; m5 U
• Mechanical Codes/Standard elucidation;% a6 ~. @- `0 f
• Others.

Qualifications:
0 A/ S p5 R: h% W9 A, p$ @• Mechanical Engineering Graduate of a Master’s or PhD program within five years of application date OR graduate student expecting to complete Master’s or PhD degree requirements within three months.
1 d3 n' d( k3 J4 Z# Y) \1 [• Equipment design experience is required;
& [0 m% m2 e) p9 |: u: ?• Familiar with mechanical Codes/Standards; knowledge of electrical Codes/Standards is helpful;
6 L: X" E) `& U• Familiar with CAD software;' h$ x6 {6 T( q2 W: u
• Fluent in English, and knowledge of Mandarin is useful;# j# X$ p6 o* ^6 a% l
• Fabrication, engineering and postdoctoral experience are assets.) S) h s! q- S% I8 V& A
! F6 T9 {' Y7 U. q; r$ {$ K1 u
Compensation:4 v, s* I* P) Q( n- U) k
Successful applicant of Alberta Ingenuity Industry r&D Associates will be awarded a $55,000 stipend per annum and a yearly allowance of $7,000. The total award value over two years is $124,000 from Alberta Ingenuity with opportunity for permanent position and stock option from the company after two years’ term.
