Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

% H. l: f7 \" M: |$ L1 UWorking with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
1 e- t; d5 U1 U1 T  vReview, develop and improve processes and procedures
/ F4 m- _- ]- q1 Q4 K# Q, x! aResearch and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
9 g' I5 j$ V( [/ m' AMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients

Qualifications

, n2 Z; u5 h9 J+ A3 ^5 ?" P. ^Graduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
5 a# {2 x" B! F( oUnderstanding of the Bill of Material generation process
. T+ m- w+ f$ i7 x7 NUnderstanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
Competence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
* e+ O0 B+ Z7 T: vAbility to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
