Reporting to the Mechanical Engineer, the successful candidate is responsible for providing Mechanical (HVAC) Design guidance and support to the Design Team.

Working with a team of draftspersons, designers and engineers, prepare drawings, specifications, and bill of materials for projects
Review, develop and improve processes and procedures
9 D5 C9 q) {! T0 ]) u0 z: l  }8 ?Research and develop efforts to improve product designs and costs
; Y3 x. R7 S- UMake sure all information is included on drawings, specifications and drawings requested by the manufacturing group and clients  

Qualifications

$ `4 ]% V8 [# p" u8 ?' m- b7 ~) NGraduate of a technical institute or mechanical trade journeyman
6 |- U( j( |1 \2 t; W3 _Minimum 2 years experience in design/drafting of HVAC systems for residential or commercial buildings
Minimum 2 years experience working as a HVAC journeyman
. ~1 r: T5 l% `. }Experience in HVAC systems commissioning and air balancing is an asset
Understanding of the Bill of Material generation process
Understanding of drafting and design specifications for projects
$ z. H  j# `3 yCompetence with utilizing AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Ability to communicate with all levels of management
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
