 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
. h, q: p2 ^& u7 x: v8 ^% c Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
7 U* D+ f* e# p- D: _ Completing required paperwork.
( B: B- \( s4 g, M, X+ O Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
2 q7 X) c; d2 a0 {4 I; f Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
9 V5 b) x  d; d9 `/ s4 O Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:

, m" W2 u. y% a) @6 X8 L Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
) ^9 Q) @8 J% v/ M% _; _ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
; o: |: r) U9 F  x. J Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! q. N& d& ?" ? Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
. A: m* F( I5 FThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
