3 c  l) U# p7 N" {& o# HKey Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
  j5 _4 z# n; ]8 Q) C Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
4 S7 `# Z' m0 @. s Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
3 W# R: v6 \1 c$ Q# } Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
# s8 A: e5 D% m" u5 h Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
) w) W: \4 s! h2 V Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

2 W: H6 O$ b' ]$ U  D5 u Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
* y& `% a. ?/ E6 c! R; a  V  B Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
$ ?5 V' d8 m: d7 Z- g# Y) w9 a3 _ Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
5 P* _, c1 X# ?) ]5 v Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
( N$ ^. w7 U- j) Y/ _" D Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.
& @6 F* |/ D# Y. i& L* [, a/ n4 I
( R+ x2 w' \; i* p( X2 w1 ^9 l, bPosition:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
