 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.3 Q. u. v/ ]9 U( x
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
. h, q: p2 ^& u7 x: v8 ^% c Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

Qualifications:! @( ~' [% ~, i! q0 s
, m" W2 u. y% a) @6 X8 L Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
) ^9 Q) @8 J% v/ M% _; _ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
; o: |: r) U9 F x. J Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth., J5 |+ \' L1 C
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc. a* ~7 G8 T2 A
 Knowledge of community resources.9 T1 p6 A2 Q# ~9 S' c6 |
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
! q. N& d& ?" ? Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
. A: m* F( I5 FThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; , p; ]; |. _& @! Q; a
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
