6 _ V' _( z. d$ p& }& ~0 b1 s Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.

 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.! {$ D. }8 @: a: u/ O" a
 Completing required paperwork.

v+ K/ a* W+ ]) V' R; i7 s( w Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

9 q! b; y! M: C Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
h7 e6 w2 _, S1 T* k1 N Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.# m9 E, S0 p5 \: E' f+ L0 E: x! E9 n
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.; p/ s* F! a( p: u! I
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.) j5 U( k, X$ v0 f. c7 B
 Knowledge of community resources.1 x8 A' l$ [$ o, p
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.& l1 K% \3 U" L7 z- \
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:

starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
