Key Responsibilities & Duties:

; P% t' M/ w3 E6 O6 I6 W( T Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

Qualifications:
) G- i; D  B" q* o: k! S8 N
1 S- c0 ^0 o: T Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
0 _  T& T: b/ Z Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
/ u& o8 M7 [% H Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
' V1 H8 J) m+ P( ^9 c Knowledge of community resources.
0 `( \) I4 T) h Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
* @! k) O% e+ R) V2 d6 j Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
