1 U7 N( Y7 _5 `6 p Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
' i" Z$ V7 D5 O7 g4 P: o Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.( m( W( B/ g3 M* @8 _: Q2 a
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.% d& Z- K# p1 ^2 C# |
 Completing required paperwork.
4 J) c; m- H5 ~2 N Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
' M W. I3 }$ u4 p Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.: }: x" H- |$ E3 F6 K4 ]% u
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
3 W, u6 X( H& N7 S" w% V& t Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.

 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:: T1 B* C* e/ E. K, H' Q/ e7 n

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
' O: J, g5 ^) r5 g Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.; P* L ~+ N0 {' O, O
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
7 |5 P. h+ k/ e% O Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
' _- V2 h s# P4 A& S9 e. W Knowledge of community resources.
- N6 `+ z9 f9 E9 u# q9 w Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance./ J2 i3 Y) D; y0 ~1 p
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. , V5 T' G6 z6 B( I
There is a 3-month probationary period.
