 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.) l% K! ]5 D4 R6 s. ~/ S7 ~' V; `4 N
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
0 n$ n( M2 }$ O* @ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.

) d/ H. [/ ^7 D: I/ s Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.

 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. $ {4 s; m# c/ M( B! `# \% r H
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.& i8 Z( k. q% s; m( G7 }* D
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
& \- e0 X- R. y Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

Qualifications:

: @! M3 ]" W7 ] Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
& |% d! {1 W1 b9 I+ s; q% ~ Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.1 Q+ D- G: l4 C, Z t% C& k
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.- s* W& i1 S9 d/ i
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.% i9 A% v4 H& e6 X7 _- M, p1 P
 Knowledge of community resources.+ f2 G* j5 A: L" E8 |- d
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
1 j$ u6 k7 ^. G Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. 6 e3 [5 T( {, Y: s, v- z/ U
There is a 3-month probationary period. 6 `8 q9 D2 @. d& l- m# {
