Key Responsibilities & Duties:$ q* g8 f; k* R

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
. M7 A, t9 T7 Y/ Q, | Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.: e' |# ^# c V' K7 J) }9 T2 Y
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
% \+ l o% q q, q9 s" U9 p Completing required paperwork.
; k( s( r1 u! P/ q! j; k Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.5 U. Y+ ]4 }0 o; ~; x8 z
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
9 a' }3 |7 }: c8 C+ v' B) [* U Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information. + P$ M6 S: l; C1 K: r3 p1 H
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.9 ^' h Q/ e" d
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.' b. e8 g1 v: R
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.; R& M& C) g3 G) _4 R2 b; Z
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills., ~; g* p3 [- y- z- M, r
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
( d( S3 a k4 i( _; X- o) T Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
% O; ], F/ Z: x$ \1 l Knowledge of community resources.
* }; k2 P. q. q a9 P4 x* K+ _ Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.0 I& t( G* ]- Q2 K8 H5 D( Y1 t
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. ]" s, N$ T2 l/ Z
! k8 p" Y- { p: \, P- p' g" KPosition:
1 l! h% H" x7 y( F5 k& @ ~This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. 5 j: c& m& |0 Q, f+ ^3 P* b; Z
There is a 3-month probationary period. & z C2 a. L) t
