Key Responsibilities & Duties:

 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
7 h! K% f. |* Q/ f Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
, l7 H- J7 ~. `# t* ] Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
8 O1 J4 W7 N  z, E4 N  M Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
5 ~9 z+ A4 k/ s/ u4 A Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
- b9 L6 r9 I6 D" }7 c5 q3 G( `# ] Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
$ s/ L, w7 W+ {* Q6 w) z Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
. _& @/ Q2 A: D# mThere is a 3-month probationary period.
