Administration officials have long argued that there is no evidence school speed zones reduce the danger for children. q$ `* t& M* Y

"This is simply adding it to our set of solutions," Rick Millican, general manager of transportation, said. "Council is not saying if they approve it, put a school zone everywhere someone wants on.$ f* p' h) o; P4 C7 L

"People are in a hurry, people are stressed out, they forget the speed limit and our children are very at risk when they are going to these places," she said.
